I'm not sure, maybe the OP means:
- you try a risky move: a pass, so if you fail that, no more bloodlust roll thanks to the turnover

The pass action is a back up because if you have the ball and fail bloodlust, you're in a bind. Unless you bite a thrall your ball carrier will leave the pitch without the possibility to either pass or score. So biting a thrall is a priority.

If all your thralls are inconviently positioned and you have to run backwards or to blitzing range of opponents, then the chance to pass the ball (to a player or to an empty spot on the pitch) after biting on a thrall is a nice option to have. You don't have to do it everytime, hopefully very rarely, but it's a good habit to get into.

It saves the re-roll on the bloodlust roll! You will not RR the bloodlust, eat a thrall, make a pass and hopefully have the RR for later in that turn. That was the point. Of course if a thrall is in a nice position for the actual handoff you could declare the handoff and bite that thrall. Ill try to re-formulate.

So you save the RR but loose the vampire for the whole game. Better do this in the second half than in turn2 correct?

No. The whole idea is to get a bite out of a thrall. If the thrall you take the bite out of is inconveniently located, then you can at least pass the ball if that helps at all (and you couldn't even pass or hand off if you fail to bite anyone). Very situation dependent.

An RR is rarely worth more than a vamp, especially as failing to bite anyone is a turnover.

Vampires who leave the pitch due to Bloodlust aren't lost for the whole game, they can come back on for the next drive.

That makes sense, you declare the pass but if you don't fail bloodlust then you just treat it as a move action.

My concern is your quotes.

You have replicated things which need to be cited. Otherwise you may get people knocking on our door. There are a lot of bulk text that could be considered plagerism.

Well if I was writing an article at uni I would be worried about it. It is an strategy guide though and im not pretending to say that the quotes are my work... not 100% sure about the legality though. I don't see any problem with it to be honest. But i could of course make reference. Should I?

You should be concerned about that anywhere. People take pride in what they write; plagiarism is theft, whether in an academic environment or otherwise. Besides, if you cite your sources, it gives your writing a sense of authority.
