Smeborg,
Slann do rely on agility dice - but my practical experience is that they don't rely on a huge number of AG rolls strung together. There are things you can do to minimize the risk.

On offense, I almost always score in 2 turns. It's almost always a 2+ roll one turn and two 2+ rolls the next turn with a dodge RR in there.

On defense, it varies. I have some guard on my team - including a catcher - and a 4AG Wrestle linefrog. So my rolls are easier than most. However, I've found you really only need ONE turn where you make your rolls during the game to successfully turn the tide. It's often one or two 3+ rolls (depending on your guard situation and whether the opponent has SH) and then a catcher tries to free the ball from wherever it lands. I've found that by clogging the cage sides before I jump in, it's harder for the opponent to catch that bouncing ball and it often lands outside the cage - where a catcher will need a 3+ (in a TZ) to pick up the ball.

Doesn't always work, but again, if it works one time per game, it's often enough to swing things my way.

Also, I'm a big fan of the "froggy punt" where you free the ball and then have a catcher jump in with Sure Hands to attempt to fling the ball away - doesn't matter if you have a person around or not. (And that's why I think HMP is underrated as a doubles skill on a SH catcher). That way you don't risk a turnover trying to get frogs into position to catch the ball - just try to outrun them to it.

Experiences often vary - when you're starting out with Slann, you are going to have a very tough time. Just have to hope for luck. With proper skill development, however, the risk are lowered and the Slann really shine.

They are my favorite team in BB, by far. Just love 'em.

Thanks, MeatLoafX, I think I am doing mostly the right things, I just need some skills and a fuller roster.

I like your HMP idea/

All the best.

I also have a catcher with guard and an AG4 lineman with wrestle. I like to use the catcher as the 3rd man in the line on 1 side of the cage and then leap in from the other side. This let me pick which square the ball carrier will go if knocked down. If you do it right ball will often bounce out on your side of the cage and be easier to get to.
