I am thinking of going to a tournament next year that allows you to take a stat increase or a double skill.
I was wondering which is more beneficial over 4 games.

Re: Ogre, +1ag or sure hands
With sure hands you will get it 75% of the times with out expending RR. I consider it the first double of an ogre team. Better than block so you get a decent ball carrier.
With +1 AG you get the ball 66% with out using a RR and 88% using it.
The problem is many times you can't spare that RR!!! and second a simple stripballer blocking you two dice against with a RR has many chances of getting the ball loose while with sure hands doesn't.
So my bet would go for sure hands!

Sure hands. It stops you auto losing to elves.

Isn't the AG useful for dodging out too, though? (I appreciate it is not as good as BT)

Re: Ogre, +1ag or sure hands
Not an Ogre expert but after watching a few games of the ogre team in my league I'd rather do +1Ag (one of the ogres has +1 Ag) .
Its usefullness in a lot of things other than picking up the ball overcomes the Sure Hands advantages (IMO of course).

Re: Ogre, +1ag or sure hands
My skill plan for a double ogre ballcarrier: sure hands- break takle-guard-with doubles again dodge-block. stat increase any of course.
My skill plan for a 11 first skill ogre: +1Ag - strong arm-break takle-guard
with doubles surehands-dodge-block Whith this ogre i'll be able to do passes like an elf so be ware of my sneaky snotts....
Note that it's pointless to say that you never will have to choose betewn one of this two ways. You will folow the one who comes first: 1/18 the +1AG 1/6 the double one. And of course if i already have one of this i will train another one if he get's doubles or +1AG as first skill,... While if i get a double on a pilling on/guard ogre i'll put him block instead. But having two ballcarrying ogres seems sensible to me.
