I'm about to start a goblin team in a league using the new secret weapons rules. How does the following lineup look:
2 ogres (240k)
goblin w/chainsaw (70k)
goblin w/bomb (60k)
9 goblins (360k)
3 re-rolls (180k)
9 FF (90k)
This has 13 players in the starting lineup, so I've got some reserves for when the weapon-wielders get sent off and when people get injured. However, it doesn't include an apothecary, so I wondered about dropping a goblin and a point of FF for an apothecary. Alternatively, converting the ogres into trolls will save money and allow for an apothecary. (Similar re-jigging might also allow for an extra re-roll.)
What do you think?

I'm not keen on the new Secret Weapon rules - a 50% chance of losing the weapon if you are sent off is too great IMO - and Chains and Bombs will get sent off.
Perhaps get the Bomber but not the Chain.
I am running a Gobbo team in RABBL and started with 2 Ogres and no apoth. Guess what.... one of the Ogres died in the first game
- keep the apoth for the Ogres - don't worry about the Gobbos until they have a skill (I also had a gobbo die that game too!).
I suggest you take heed! (whenever I start a team without an apoth I need him and vice versa). If you go for Trolls then you can do without the apoth. However, I much prefer Ogres to Trolls since you can't afford to have the Gobbos playing tag with the Trolls to help them remember what to do.
I would drop the chain, and go for the apoth (or another reroll if you feel lucky). Alternatively drop both the chain and the bomber and get a reroll 1 gobbo, apoth and 7 FF (think this works out).

Thanks for the advice. In the end, I decided to drop the secret weapons and make sure I had an apo and another re-roll... so I went for:
2 ogres
10 gobbos
4 re-rolls
1 apo
7 FF
The first match was against wood elves and I drew 2-2. No casualties inflicted by either side, but the crowd did kill the wood elf catcher. Now I have 50k to spend and to allocate a skill for a gobbo. Hmmm.....

Wow
, a seemingly solid gobbo list, I know the perils of the thrown goblin, it took me into overtime last game...ick. havent picked up the annual yet, as our league doesnt use secret weapon or kicking rules.

The Runaway leader in werewolf lynchings. Now with a suggested 28.57% more lynchability than the leading competitor.
