Hi all
I won my 6th game out of 6 with my Lizards tonight against a very tough Orc team (1-0).
A very un-eventful game to be honest, just a good old fashioned scrap!!!
I skilled up just one Skink, he already has diving catch (because i like to play the passing game and I already have an ag4 skink with accurate which makes a pretty lethal passing combo)
Not sure what to take for this reciever. Block seems logical but the +1av is tempting.
Also, although maybe a waste, I don't have a 'kick' player yet and this would be a handy skill as I play Dwarves and Orcs a lot. Side Step is another prospect, although too available under normal circumstances.
Any help greatly appreciated
Cheers
James

take the double.
Block or wrestle IIRC the skinks only get A skills.

Block, Guard or +MA. Can't go wrong with any of them. Block over +AV.

+MA
Then sprint
Push him 1 square, pass him (2+ catch), then run for a 1 turn TD

You don't need Sprint on this guy to get a 1TTD. Blitz the D-line. And/or you could induce Slibli or put Grab on a Saurus. That way, he can get Side Step, Sure Feet or Catch instead, to get better odds. Unless your opponent is loaded with positioning skills across the DL (and maybe even then), you can 1TTD off line chains.
This is really kind of an argument against +MA on a Skink. You only really need Sprint. +MA is better because it's more reliable. But compared to Block? I can't say I'd end up taking +MA, even if I wouldn't fault someone else for doing it.
