If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

There is hate but I think the lack of comments are from them being underplayed.
Or maybe it's because the playbook is good?

If I had any comments to make it would be on what's missing from the guide:
- Advice on inducements, which for some reason are often forgotten in guides (for example they have access to a lot of star players - which ones are worth taking and in what context);
- An example of what a high TV amazon team should look like (do you try to spread the SPPs equally, or do you put the accent on the blitzers and let the others with two skills max).

Tbh i think amazones should keep thier tr low. That ofc leads us to belive that inducemnts is going to be of interest.

Yep, thanks for your comments people, I would have gotten back earlier, but the computer swallowed my post...

A couple of things I should probably say: authurinkpen, I'm not quite sure where you got the impression I was having a go at stunty teams!? I thought I was praising the coaches who play them for being good sports! I might change that to non-tier 1 teams though. (imo stunty teams are gobbos and 'flings).

As to the "cookiecutter" design, I think it was more of a problem before the Norse were changed, but now the 'Zons are "unique", I'm happy enough with them. Their cookiecutterness is their usp! For the record, I did prefer the MBBL Amazonian team, but I reckon the rules are set in stone now for the forseeable future, bitching and whinin' is pretty futile.. (and I think Galak (and the BBRC) have done a Farming good job of making it a balanced game, maybe not quite perfect, but then what is?)

(I also wrote the playbook from a league perspective, imo, the rules are built for leagues and as (all?) tournies are heavily houseruled, I don't think a team that benefits from those houseruled rules should be nerfed for league play).

I hoped I wrote the playbook with a sarcastic/tongue in cheek tone... I'm not sure if Carnis picked up on that from his post!? :-? :) But my intention was to say dwarves weren't a problem and that if you were playing in a long league, then don't expect your win % to stay as it was at the beginning, not a tactic as such, just an observation... (The "tone" was also meant to deflect the "haters" posts before they had started too, maybe it worked  ).

As for the playbook:

I should also probably add a sentence or two explaining just why the girls are so good at bashing to begin with, (but I will maintain that with AV7, on average, an AV9 team will win the bash war...).

I reckon I should also add a section on inducements too. The 'Zons do benefit from having a good choice of StarPlayers, Bertha is cool (as is Zara, Roxanna, Helmut and Willow, in the right circumstances) and BB Babes/Blokes(?) wizards all make sense.

Anyhoo, England are 449 for 3, I'm back to TMS!

Heres some info that i hope helps, my BBLE team. So far i have had 4 deaths, one unskilled blitzer, one unskilled thrower, a wrestle kick linewoman and a unskilled linewoman. They are at thier second competition or whatever you call it at the moment. About 16 games. I have been spp farming by making short passes at the points in time i feel safe. Its worked out ok. I have not lost yet with this team, two draws once against dark elfs and the other against halflings it was also the first time i have seen the AI do a one turn touch down.
Medium difficulty.

1. Blitzer +Guard +stand firm 17 s.p.p

2. Blitzer +Guard 6 s.p.p

3. Blitzer +Guard +Sidestep +Dauntless 31 s.p.p

4.Blitzer +Guard +Standfirm 23 s.p.p

5.Thrower +sure hands +kick off return 16 s.p.p

7.Catcher +Block +sidestep 27 s.p.p

8.Catcher +Block +sidestep 25 sp.p.

9.Linewoman +wrestle 7s.p.p (niggling injury)

11.Linewoman _________ 2 s.p.p

6. Thrower________ 4 s.p.p

12.Linwwoman +Wrestle 7 s.p.p

10.Linewoman +Guard 9 s.p.p

5 re-rolls and apothercary.

Whenever i get inducments i go straight for a wizard so i can shock the elf that gets away or knock down the vital link in the cage. After that its bloodweiser babes, then wandering apothecary. Sometimes i have stuggled with the vampires (they have 2 +ST thralls) so i go with zara. But with the limited star players she is allways the one i go with if i need extra punch.

Nice playbook! I have started playing the zons online quite a bit and agree on virtually everything! Looking forward to seeing how they survive (AKA die in droves) at high TV too! :)

Hi,

I miss comments on the available star players for the team. Which they are, when to use them, pros and cons etc.

Otherwise, good work!

Given that I have been reading and using the playbook, it is only fair that I chime in and say that it has been a great help.

I like chainsaws...

Any excuse to convert a woman in a bunny suit to a woman in a bunny suit with a hockey mask and a chainsaw is all the star player advice I need...

Playbook's not bad. Only one real bone to pick, and that's that the Bull Centaur is the best player in the game.
