It's a 13 game league not a 43 game one. Dwaves will have a lot of tackle, but Orcs and Chaos and such won't have much for a while, unless cyanide is different than what I'm used to. And MB is still good, I just don't know about passing up dodge.

I notice you took dodge as a first skill on Håkan on the team you linked, and guard first on others.

Also that you're in an odd league where you've played a ton of Chaos varients, and very few orcs, dwarves, or even undead.

Actually since Norse don't care much about claw I wonder if Chaos varients are the paper to Norse's scissors. Do you find that to be true?

my team is in a perpetual 100's games league. So dodge is a nobrainer there. Guard or MB gets taken as it fits the team schedule. Guard is ofc needed but the first skill in the team is usually MB.

I do find that norse is a very strong team vs low TV medium TV chaos but high end with a proper development plan a good chaos will make norse suffer. There I think the matchup is about even, because a norse team will be fielding 16 players, the match will be a tossup as far as the result goes but the casualties will be horrific for both.

Not a statement about truth value, but I love the analogy as analogy, because it implies that Dwarfs are Rock. In fact, if you're dorky enough to admit remembering LARP from the '90s, it also implies that Orcs are the bomb. :orc:

What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Orcs lose to high chaos though.

I suppose I'd think of Orc as another "rock" team.

If you want a "bomb" it'd probably be elves. I find I'm always happy to go up against elven teams with my Norse. I win the bash fight as surely as Orcs, Chaos, or Dwarves would, but I've got more MA out there and eventually some non doubles diving tackle to make it harder for the elves to score.

Although on high TV teams with coaches willing to fire under performers, I've occasionally seen diving tackle heavy bash teams.
