It might be a good idea, once everybody who's interested has put their name forward, to put all of our money into a pot and then book it all at once so we're in the same room? That way we'll all be together and won't have to put up with any weird people in our room (other than the Geordies).

For the sake of everyones sanity we have booked a room for Dave.

You'll still hear him but it will not be as bad as sharing a room with him.

Grand!

So far those seeking accomodation in the hostel are:

Ambush
Lycos
Wormy
Vmcat
Stick
Beanbag
Leipziger
Mumbo
Myself

Jim and Phil, are you guys crashing at Joe's? Do the Geordies have their own room sorted?

If people are happy for me to book a big room then that's groovy. So far we've got 9 people, although a few others like Nippy and Barney have yet to say whether they're coming so I'll get in touch with them asap. So far we seem okay for a 10 man room, although with luck we can bump that up to a 14 man room for ultra discounts. Also, I assume this is just the Saturday evening?

Great, that should bump us up to 10. Ideal numbers for a room. Goo is sorted and Nipples is still tentative at the moment as to whether he's coming, but we should have an answer from him come October/November. I'll get on his back and then move this along.

Someone has to do it, although with me at the helm we'll probably end up in a bus shelter in Swansea.

Update:

Okay, I've just spoken to the hostel over the phone. Basically they're telling me that 11 people is a ball-ache to accomodate. They don't have any 14-man rooms available so the option they gave us is to book two 6-man rooms. If you book for at least 10 people it's considered a group booking and you get 10% off. There's the caveat that you have you pay for each bed in the room, even if you're not using it, so with that the total would be £23.60 per person for the Saturday night which includes a free continental breakfast. This has the downside of not being a megafundorm and we'll be split into two groups for the night. Also we may have to pay quite a hefty deposit of about £250.

What are everybody's thoughts? If people want to group book two 6-man rooms then I'm happy to start collecting money asap, or if people prefer to sort their own accomodation in other hotels then that's okay.
