I'd give the Mino Guard because that's a good skill to have on the big guys. You face a lot of AG3 teams so when you've blitzed the Mino into position, then he can support other players well with Guard. And you can bully the ST3 teams on the los with Guard better as well. I don't think +MA on a mino will come into play too often to warrant sacrificing a skill for it.

For the marauder I'd give Block. Block increases the reliability of the team no end especially early on and two players with Block doesn't quite cut it yet.

Stand Firm is also good on a Mino. One way to beat a Mino is to push him and not follow; Stand Firm prevents that.

Getting SF on him means you might want to get Side Step on the Marauder; those skills are much better in multiples.

This is a question with no clear right answer.

Hmm where did my post vanish to?
What I thought I had already asked:

I'd really like to develop a thrower and catchers - but in my league there are slann, necro and humans (and one orc team), so where would I run with 6 (Marauder) / 7 (Rat) Movement.
Should I rather stick to bash or is there a way to make passers/catchers viable with the "slow" speed?

Low-MA passing is fine, so long as it's all QPs into a caged-up player. I do it all the time with Chaos; I get my Extra Arms guy into the cage and the dedicated retriever (the guy who needs the SPP) QPs to him for an SPP. I mean, it's still a caging tactic, but it lets you deliver the ball quickly, and get the cage downfield.

I hate to admit it, but I ended up with taking +MA on the minotaur and boring block on the doubles marauder. (I couldn't find an AG skill I really want and only had 2 blockers yet)

Have played another game with my Pact team (and sorry for the hijack Troll, but it's not like this hapend before, is it ;) ??).

I have a marauder with guard (helped greatly last game), an Ogre and a Mino (last one needs a normal skill, I think Guard), 3 renegades (skaven skilled up also last game), 3 RRs, an apo and 60K in cash.

Main opponent is Woodelfs, for the moment.

Any ideas ?

p.s. more to follow, to stay a tad OT.

Actually I did open my "own" thread because I wanted to prevent thread spamming in the forums - but I start to believe it would be better opening one for each question.

I tied against slann today and rolled 1's for the Big Guys slightly above 50% of the time (I had 2 rounds with ALL of them not taking an action).
Skilled one marauder and had a normal roll. Would you go for block again?
I have 3 block marauders of 6 at the moment and start to believe with me rolling so many 1s for the big guys (my average is around 25-30% over all games) block is just the savest thing to do. (You can't fail on a passive can you :))

I had a match with the ogre boneheading 5 of the 10 turns, I was keeping score. Its when him and the troll both do it in the same turn that really sucks. Heh, I should know better than to use the troll after the ogre fails but I cant help myself  Cant get casualtys if you dont use them and I still need my ogre and troll to get their first rolls.

I managed to roll an AG Boost on my Dark Elf today.
Question 1: Take it? (I guess that is a yes)
Question 2: Develop him in which direction? I wanted to go Wrestle/Leap/Strip Ball but I don't need the 5 AG for that I think.

I can see how you would be concerned to put an ag5 elf in harms way but he would leap on 2+ and dodge much easier. You have options.

Id take the agi 5. Your concerns go with my thoughts on this team. You can plan a role for somebody but a stat up/doubles might happen that doesnt go with your plan. So you either ignore it or take it and make changes. Everyone will tell you to take it because its gonna let you do even crazier plays. Nevermind leaps, think of the passing you could do, dodges and ball retrieving.

My suggestions would be develope him as a utility player. Not sure if this is your first skillup, if so then dodge and block should be next, maybe leap instead of block. You'd be looking at the standard blodge and anything that lets you do something outside of the normal gameplay (leap/foul appearance). Agi 5 pretty much takes away the need for any reroll skills and something like pro would work to cover everything.
