Foul ejection/bribe logistical question

Post by Daht »

When rolling doubles for fouls, are the armor and injury rolls done separatley by the ref? Specifically, if you roll doubles for the armor, do you bribe that then roll injury with the risk of another ejection, or do you complete the foul, rolling for av and injury, then 1 bribe if there was a doubles in either or both?

And only one bribe is needed.

Pretty clear in the rules where they say "armor and/or injury roll is doubles"

Personally I'm having a harder time trying to find where it says one can use several bribes on the same foul/secret weapon, but in my league someone swears he has seen an FAQ somewhere..

The question was asked on this forum. Doubleskulls opined that several bribes could be used on the same foul/secret weapon ejection, and that this was in line with or the intention of the rules. The consensus on the thread agreed with him.

Hope that helps.

Exactly. I always think of it like this:
Ref shouts, "You! Get to the dungeon, that was a blantant foul!"
Coach wanders over, "Hey ref, here's a bag of gold, why don't you forget you saw that?"
Roll the dice.... 1!
Ref, "Nope, it was an obvious kick in the spuds, can't be allowing that."
Coach, "Here's another bag of gold......."
Roll the dice....2!
Ref, "You're right, it wasnt that hard a kick after all."

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

Always said that multiple bribes should be allowed, but you had to decide how many you were using before you rolled the dice.

Only problem is that there is no other place in the rules where you get to apply several rerolls.. Now, if the second bribe was to get a new roll for the first one.. ;)

I just think that the rule makes fouling very safe if you have multiple bribes. But then, the one answering questions wants more fouls and more blatant fouls, so I guess it comes with the territory..
(In that case, just make foul injuries give SPP:s, and you'd see about 20 fouls per game..)

Our TT league grants SPP's for fouls. Doesn't seem to have that much of an impact on the game.
