Re: My Dark elf team worklog
Looking great. The Lino is a great mix of pieces and comes together to make a really coherent, good looking whole. Very nice work!

Re: My Dark elf team worklog
Thanks for the feedback
The linemen are intentionally less spiky then the blitzers, because i Think they nees to be more plain, and i like the positionals to be easy reconizable.
The linemen have bare upper arms and none plate upper legs (As the blitzers do) As to not restrict movement too much thet are agile elves after all, but all contact points boots shins gloves and so on are plate to deliver hard hits.
Im not sure if i should have done more with the lineelf or what ? Is it too plain compared to the blitzer ?
Any input would be appriciated
Cheers

*Update*
Team comming along nicely
4 blitzers done, only missing some greenstuf work

6 Linemen done, only missing some greenstuf work

Putting it together and its starting to look like a team

Now to get to work on Runners and Witch elves.. ive started to think that ill need to make my own, as the models i was planning on using just dont look quite right next to the rest of my guys.. so .. need to cut up some more plastic kits
Cheers

You can do the witches from the dark eldar wyches... without too much converting...

This is not an elf this is FRANKENSTEIN!Skagen42 wrote:Update ! First Lineman finished
Parts list for those interrested:
Dark eldar warrior plated Feet
Dark elf corsair legs
Dark elf cold one knight chest
Dark elf cold one knight head
Dark eldar Wych upper arms
Dark eldar raider crew gauntleted hands

Now seriously, those are looking great!
Your blitzers are amasing, and the LE are good too.
Keep us posted!

Re: My Dark elf team worklog *Updated*
Yea ive been thinking about that too.. but the dark eldar wych pieces are a lot more armored and leather clad then the "real" witch elves, and i really want that slutty witch elf look to pop through, i just cant seem to find pieces that suit for what i want em to look like, best so far is the witch elf from fantasy warhammer range, but they look very small and frail next to the rest of my team.Mephisto wrote:You can do the witches from the dark eldar wyches... without too much converting...
I would love to make a plastic witch elf, but i just dont see the parts to do it.. and the heads, dont really look "hairy" enough.. any idears ?
Cheers for all the comments guys

awesome DEs, using similar ideas myself but using more D eldar bits, what with the D Eldar range being quite groovey. But I isnt there a slaneshi creature of some sort that my convert towards a witch elf? Really impressed with your work.

I've been wanting to do something like this for ten years. Following your progress. Good work.
Especially note that the converter avoids all 40k-esque tubing and other techno-bits that completely and utterly ruin most pure strain Dark Eldar to Blood Bowl transitions I have seen. Why bother removing the splinter rifles if you leave the tubing and ammo on the mini? What we see in this thread is the result of true effort!

as an option for the witch elves, I've just picked up the de woman hero, cant remember her name, but big hair, staff.....
the dark elf sorceress.... thats the one.. a little conversion, or even using the head on other bits?
great work so far
