Re: Slann catchers - first skill
I would put pass block on blitzers before catchers really..it's not just about the chance to int, but getting the tackle zone on the reciever (or thrower) ... diving tackle/jump up and a -1 to catch on the receiver is pretty big.

Re: Slann catchers - first skill
Seemed relevant. My build was krox, 2 blitzers, 1 catcher, 7 linefrogs, 2 RR. Far from optimal I know due to the lack of rerolls, but fortune smiled on me in game 1 and I won 4-1. Got a double on the catcher and took Leader to make up for the RR. He's only 5 from his next skill, so Dodge will come then - just felt I needed Leader early on. Took Wrestle on a Blitzer, so let's see how that goes. Good jump up synergy.
Loved using DC twice - once to catch the ball on a blitz result, and once on an inaccurate pass.
Oh yes, and bought an apo with the winnings.

I would strongly advise against pass block on a blitzer.Daht wrote:I would put pass block on blitzers before catchers really..it's not just about the chance to int, but getting the tackle zone on the reciever (or thrower) ... diving tackle/jump up and a -1 to catch on the receiver is pretty big.
Though you make some good arguments, skills on a blitzer are hard to come by and they excel at so much more.

This. Use your Blitzers to cut off routes so your PB Catchers are more likely to jump the ones that remain.MeatLoafX wrote:I would strongly advise against pass block on a blitzer.Daht wrote:I would put pass block on blitzers before catchers really..it's not just about the chance to int, but getting the tackle zone on the reciever (or thrower) ... diving tackle/jump up and a -1 to catch on the receiver is pretty big.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Re: Slann catchers - first skill
Dodge or block first skill. 2nd the other one. 3rd skill left free for any frivolities. Though I would like to get some variety in there,...
As ball carrier I would advice developing a lino that as first skill gets pass in a double. As ball retriver another one who doesn't wresle-stripball-takle. Still a catcher could get surehands and become a weak ball carrier, but dead fast and quick.
