Legend skill for blodge, leap, sidestep, AG+ Dark Elf?

Post by Warpstone »

Reacharound, my block, dodge, leap, sidestep, AG+ Dark Elf Renegade has finally become a legend right on the verge of the team's final playoff run.

What do you give him for his 6th and final skill?

Currently deciding between Horns/Strip ball. Other options? As always, the plan is to go balls to wall, so I don't mind putting him in harms way for the title push.

Deepends if you are expecting to face more blodge or sure hands ball carriers i guess. Tackle vs the blodgers and strip vs non-sure hands.

Horns is nice as it works vs everyone so will help vs guard cages and normal blitzes.

Horns seems a waste on Reacharound - you have so many better options to blitz with. I'm a fan of Big Hand for him (slightly redundant with +AG) or actually Sure Hands since you carry the ball with him so much.

Horns. Once a guy has hit 176 SPP, you don't want to be carrying with him anyway.

At that level, Strip Ball is weaksauce. Devastating to rookies, but....

I suppose I should also point out that is for a premier division playoffs where most teams have 30-50 games under their belt and a TV north of 200.

@Khail - I can see that Sure Hands/Big Hand, but really 9/10ths of Reacharounds job is to scare the bejeezus out of grinders. You're right in that he will also usually end up scoring on his sack plays too, but my bigger worry is usually simply popping the ball out.

@spubbbba - you're right, strip ball is probably out compared to horns

@Matt - to be honest, I don't care who I carry it with at this point. This team needs to win 4 games in a row. I'm not too concerned with farming out SPP.

Then yeah, go Horns. Is he really that much of a scary player vs. Bashy teams though? Kalgar more or less mirrors him (+Guard) and I see him as a utility player more than anything else. If Kalgar ever got to 176 I'd probably give him Diving Tackle or Tackle. I suppose I have other options for getting into cages though, and Reacharound has to do most of your heavy lifting in that arena.

Horns sounds like what you want, but Jump Up could give you secondary blitz opportunities, as well as valuable "surprise" value and added mobility. That "how come I can't shake this guy??" feeling... :)

I would give him Sure Hands. You have none on the team, and he is the obvious candidate.

TWHS?
 Nice, Matt.

Given how you use him, horns makes sense...congratulations on him reaching legendary status! Looks like you are close to having a canopener join him on that peak...

Horn is good,
Sure Feet increases his mobility greatly and therefore his threat. I like to have sure feet on my leapers.
Frenzy if you want him in harms way and be a complete blitzing nutter.
