Help! Double sixes on a 'Fling!

Post by betterZthenDeaD »

I'm still laughing... Hang on...

Just rolled double sixes on a Halfling. It's his first roll, so he has no other skills. What should I take? I'm not playing them seriously but I don't want to waste an opportunity. So far I have two trees, fifth-teen 'flings one of whom has sidestep.

Any suggestions?

Hold on... you're playing for fun... you rolled a Strength upgrade... and you need to ask?!

Yesh... takes it....

The only time I haven't taken a double 6 skill roll is recently on a mummy whom I'd rather have Block (it, too, was his initial skill)....

take the STR.

He'll still only be around for a while, so enjoy him while he lasts.

The hardest part is the TVR hit, but who cares, they're Flings!

one last point my buddy made when I rolled a STR up on a Stunty... "how else can you get a STR 4 Halfling without taking the first STR up?!?"

Take it.
The new puggy JR will appreciate your choice. He will be a expert cage cracker :)

We started a stunty league and the resident Ogre team coach keeps losing to gobbo teams.... "You know what it's like to have a player dodge through your entire cage and blitz your ball carrier, repeatedly, with two dice?!"

Well, now your opponent will know too...!

I hope there's a miscalculation here :)

And yes, +ST for sure. And name him Beefcake, emphasis on Cake.

... They're small and run around a lot. It's easy to lose count! Should have read THIRTEEN 'Flings. Started with Fourteen. One died. As they do. :orc:

What does this mean? I played gobbos yesterday and I played to win. This involved throwing bombs, doing chainsaw attacks, random fanatic goodness, which I hoped made it fun for both sides. Does not playing seriously mean you don't play to win? Does this not make it a little silly for the opponent? Just wondering...

Sorry I forgot to mention in the original post that it's a Fumbbl team! Hence by not playing seriously I meant I was sort of mucking about, trying a few new tactics(? ?) that sort of thing.

Yeah, I saw it on fumbbl. Definitely take the +1ST. Trying out new tactics is cool, but I think my point was that I play fumbbl to become a better player, and if I played against someone who wasn't trying to win (albeit by trying new stuff out) then I might feel it was an hour of my time wasted.

That said, happy to play your flings sometime! My ogres need a good run out :D

Don't get me wrong, I'm still playing to win! :orc:

I need all the help I can get. I'd just rather 'hone' my skills online rather than face to face across a real board. I'm struggling through the slightly more advanced stuff now like spotting open lanes, planning moves in advance, chain pushing into better positions, that sort of thing. I'd just rather make a fool of myself (when something doesn't come off or work out as planned) over the 'net than in front of a live opponent at the club! But I'm still in it to win it... just might take a few more 'chances' on Fumbbl. Hence the two turn score against the Gobbo's in the game that gave me the +ST boost. I'd never have had the confidence to try that out in a live game... Until now! Mwuh-huh-ha! :orc:
