Is it ever worth not scoring!?
Hello all. I'm in a quandry. I'm well on top in a game nearing the end of the first half, will easily score if I want to, but...
I've only managed KOs (about 6/7) of them, I received, so if I score my opo will get a chance to get them back b4 half time and then again at half time. He also has a MA10, sprint, sure feet grunner (the only player he has in reserve), so it is likely to be 1-1 at half time with him having had 2 chances to get his KOs back.
If I don't score then he receives in the 2nd only having had 1 chance to get his KOs back.
What to do?

Are you still in the lead ? What's the score ?
On the other hand, if you are leading comfortbly (sp?) why not 'give' him a few TDs ?
Is it a friendly game, do you know the opponent ?
you can always score, kick deep, and hope the skaven fail.

He has a one-turner for the Skaven, so you need to put some points on the board. He's going to have to roll some dice to make his one-turn score happen, and if you've already managed seven KOs, you can probably pull out a few more in the second half. You worry overmuch.

It's MBBL (pbem) and we've just started the next season. So the result will matter and I can be a bit beardy. I've never even contemplated not scoring, but this is a pretty unique situation...

Hard to say, but in this case I think I would have not scored and focused on wailing on a few more Skaven if I could. Assuming he gets 3-4 KOs back, I'm guessing that would still leave him with a shallow bench and hopefully you can force him to score fast once he's received. Then you can take the rest of the half and wail on him some more. Take the tie, or if it is forced to overtime hopefully he'll still be so far down in numbers you can win.
You're right that with a Gutter Runner like that there is very little you can do to stop a 1 turn equalizer.

I take it you mean "cheesy" non-chainpush one-turners? Otherwise surely you'd have to play necros without werewolves!?One-turners... meh... only stunties should have them....

I'd score. The TD is worth more than the 7/4 recoveries you'll be giving up.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Never even tried to put together the WW one turner.... Rather go for armor or something else.... Also, the WW isn't all that AND Ag4... no viable leap ability....Aliboon wrote:I take it you mean "cheesy" non-chainpush one-turners? Not every thread is about why everyone ought to use the Necro team, actually.

I like the way Digger is ALWAYS pushing his Necros.
I eman, you KNOW he will. TFF wouldnt be the same without it...
Then again, sometimes people just want to play an easier team. It's just a shame that with a d6 you can only have so many difficulty levels.
BTT: I'd score. Beginning of a league, you need the TD. You cant afford to not score and have him recieve, score, and needing to equalize. Because you know that will happen in the next drive/half, with a 1tt or not. let him catch up, dont chase skaven around a board trying to get the ball and get even. hunt them.
