Re: Inkpwn, painting slob
Just a quick note regarding red: I've found dark flesh to work very well as a basecoat, better even than the mechrite red route I think.

Re: Inkpwn, painting slob
Trying to kick deppresion in the ass, as such I have tried painting up some of my zombies. Here is a pick of the first one, the human zombie, he isn't finished but I was wondering what people thought of the colour scheme, I personally think he does need a 2nd stripe down the middle of that red. But what colour?

Any thoughts?

Looking good. You could try yellow, but you'll probably need the foundtion paints to pull it off.
Will they be done in two weeks?

Re: Inkpwn, painting slob
Started ordering stuff for my next team.
Gunna be norse, nuns with demons.
Currently green stuffing a mature nephlim into an assistant coach (its also going to be my tester model)
Can anyone recommend some decent flesh tones for the nuns? The only GW ones I have used have been a tad harshe and congeiled quickly in the pots.
Oh and sann, is it still ok to borrow those undead?

Re: Inkpwn, painting slob
I use Valejo. And put a stone bead in the pot early on, to make the shaking and mixing easier.
I find that starting with Dark flesh as a base, Dwarf as main coverage, and Elf for highlights works well for European skin tones.
If you want more pointers on painting skin there are some great tutorials on a German website I saw once (Jenova?)

For me the one and only flesh tones are the andrea flesh set:inkpwn wrote: Can anyone recommend some decent flesh tones for the nuns? The only GW ones I have used have been a tad harshe and congeiled quickly in the pots.

Re: Inkpwn, painting slob
OK, that's just an AWESOME idea. I hope you don't mind, but the next time I'm thinking about building yet-another-team-that-I-don't-get-to-play-with-due-to-lack-of-opponents I'm going to stea... er... borrow the concept.inkpwn wrote:Started ordering stuff for my next team.
