I like that wight model.

I've found mixing in a light grey in to the GW flesh tones when I highlight helps tone down some of that harshness. My favourite reliable flesh combo for female figures is a tanned flesh (sadly no longer available) base highlighting up through dwarf flesh + fortress grey. .

The wight looks good. White base with a wash for the cloak then a wash of dark skin tone for the flesh? Wouldn't hurt to clean up around the wrists. Good composition and executed well though.

Thanks everyone :)

I just got given, yes given a almost complete 2nd ed orc team by my friend michael! I was sitting round his house rummaging through his bits box as we watched south park and he said 'if there's any thing you want have it'. Jumping for joy I dived in and scavenged a old orc team (plus a high elf thrower, a dwarf ref, a gotrek model, griff and the top half of morg) he used in a Sunday club league and he just let me have it! Marvelous! So it pretty much derailed all other plans I had and helped keep my bank balance in check because now I don't need to buy the nun team

Here is a orc lineman I stripped and painted up as a tester model, please keep in mind that I wanted brighter orcs (hence the yellow skin highlight) what does everyone think?=

Edit= I'm having a lot of trouble posting images even when within the 800x 800x limit. I would want to call admin hijinks because I'm a bit of a image spammer but I'm not that mean ;) plus its more than likely my fault (I don't think the above images are with the 800x80 limit btw)

Mr inkpwn, I wish to conratulate you. If you co mpare this guy to some of your earlier models, you can see a notieable jump in quality.

The composition is very good, and the eyes look great.

The only thing i'm concerned about is about you winning the next league. Given how well you've done with undead, I can only imagine you do as well with orcs.

100% agree with Nazgob. Not only the eyes but areas like the belt buckle. You can tell your brush control has improved greatly. Practice, practice, practice. Once you start developing those comfort levels with your abilities you'll keep getting better and better.

Nice job on the orc. It looks good.

WIP picks of the squig ball I am working on :)

Got a regular round-ish squig, clipped of the legs and filled down the stubs and spots it had. I the filled in the gaps and made the bottom lip and sides of mouth larger with greenstuff to make him look a tad more angry. The bottom lip was then scored with a craft knife to make it look a tad more realistic.
He's a little less orange than in the above picks.
Should be finished tonight.

Plant him on a large base so my small base models can stand on it. :)

I discovered that if you glue a neodymium magnet under your base (exactly like you would for making a decorative display base for your team) that if you glue a small metal washer to the bottom of your ball it is strong enough to hold it in place just by setting it on top. Just make sure that you glue the magnet towards the front of the base.

Try it. I promise you'll like it.

Started working on my troll, pinned, scored, cleaned and greenstuffed :)
I filled off the moon on his shoulder as it was a bit to gobliny for a orc team, green stuffed some fangs on there and I don't think it looks half bad for a first try :)
