Receiving and scoring in T8 also allows you to (probably) start the second half one up, which is a great way to force them to score faster, which is what you want.

Remember that if you can score more you should and this avoids the grind problem.

Threatening to slaughter the other team isn't usually very easy and usually won't in any way force the other team to score either. The scenarios facing the opponent are:

1) I keep the ball and he tries to kill my guys,
2) I kick to him and he tries to kill my guys.

Either way you're trying to kill all his players.
