Doubles on a Pact DE

Post by swilhelm73 »

I have a Chaos Pact team with a DE with Block and Dodge, and he rolled a double. On a regular roll I would have gone with leap. So...MB? Guard?

If you are planning to make him a leaper then Guard can be very useful :)

It's not because you roll a double that you have to take it. Virtually your entire team has access to strength skills so why bother?
On a Pact DE after blodge I like horns and then side step, tackle or diving tackle. Leap is good too but Horns is really brilliant.

Stand Firm. Having just finished a game against a pact team with a blodge ST dark elf I can attest to the efficiency of the combination...

Definately see SF as a poor choice as I value sidestep higher and you can get that for less TV.. Think I would just go for standard skills, there are plenty of good ones to choose from even without mutations.

+1 SS > SF on a DE. Drop the double and go for the skill you planned ahead..if u want a leaper take leap. CP dont need much doubles and have an eye on our TV, so take a normal skill. I took horns and i love it!

An AG4, ST4, block, dodge blitzing player is a very good ball hunter...a threat for your opponent!

If you decide to go ball hunting with a Horned Dark Elf, isn't Wrestle a better choice instead of Block?

True, but Block makes him a better ball carrier and thus more of an all-rounder. But then, he is still pretty good at ball hunting with Horns and later Tackle.

Sure..therefore my DE build is Wrestle, Horns and Dodge and next will be Strip Ball, Block or SideStep...

Depends what you want to use him for, he really doesn't need a double though, all his normal skills are good enough

I agree that you don't really need the double but like having Mighty Blow on as many players as possible so I might be tempted by that. :)

In all fairness were only seeing 1 player from the team also and it all depends on what the rest of the team is shaping up like and where this guy actually fits :)
