I'll be playing in a tournament soon, the rules are TV 1100, 6 skills or 8 if fully painted, 2 skills max per player, a doubles skill counts double. It's a 3-game tournament and at the start of each game you roll an additional skill for a player of your choice.
Here's what I'm planning:
- 1 runner
- 2 berserkers
- 2 ulfwereners
- 7 linemen
- 1 snow troll
- 2 re-rolls
- No apothecary (resurrection tournament anyway), no fan factor.
Skills:
- Sure Hands and Dodge on runner
- Mighty Blow on a berserker
- Block on both Ulfwereners
- Block & Mighty Blow on the Snow Troll
- Piling On or Dodge or stat increase on the skilled berserker as additional skill for the first game.
- Following games I skill the last berserker and then the ulfwerener, with a few Guards for example.
Thoughts?

Re: TV 1100 Norse + 8 skills
2 block, 2 guard and 4 frenzy would be impressively all or nothing...
Otherwise more conventially, block/MB for the werewolves, piling on/MB for blitzers, sure hands/leader for thrower, Guard on the Yeti. In what order though? 2 Block, 1 guard, SH, 2xPO/MB then leader after game 1, and adjust to suit if MB not needed for werewolves? Or of course dodge for catchers. Do you like the kick skill?
How many players do you need? 13 or can you go with 12?
140 Yeti - Guard
220 2x Were - 2x Block
180 2x Blit - 2x PO
180 2x Catch - SH
250 5x line
120 2 RR
010 1 FF
Or there is always 11 players and 3 re-rolls.
If you are confident about needing only 2 re-rolls (and if going the mass frenzy route you may want more) you could go for 1 and leader.
13 players or 12 and an apoth
140 Yeti - Guard
220 2x Were - 2x Block
180 2x Blit - 2x PO
180 2x Catch - SH
070 1x Throw - Leader
250 5x Line
060 1 RR
