My conclusion is: take sure hands if u dont have any ogre with it. If u have an sure hand ogre take block.Trollblanc wrote:Actually I'm now as smart as before with the infos "take block", "take sure hands", "take +str"

Re: Ogre with +STR?
Am I alone in running the ball with snots? I find the Ogres are too easy to tie up, too prone to bonehead and finally too valuable hitting other people. the snots on the other hand can get just about anywhere although they die far to easily.
Just playing them in my local league now and starting out against the quality of the opposition I have with only 4 ogres is HURTING. Played them in a tournament with 6 and 6 and 2 rolls (1.1mil) and they were surprisingly good. Not so much in a 1 mil progression league over 10 games.

Re: Ogre with +STR?
I try to pick the ball up first time with an Ogre (one with Break Tackle as soon as I have one). But if he drops it (not uncommon), I handle the ball with Snots (I have an AG4 Snot, ideally suited for the task). So for me an Ogre is the ball-carrier of choice, the Snots are ball-carriers by default. I find this works well enough in practice.Heff wrote:Am I alone in running the ball with snots? You are right that once you have 5 or 6 Ogres and a few skills on them, the team is quite competitive.

This is NUFFLE laughing in my face.
I did take sure hands.
Today I manage a CP and a CAS on the guy, give him the MVP - he skills again => double 6.
omg...
What now? Dodge?

Re: Ogre with +STR?
Since you already have sure hands I would actually consider block more than strength now. I think.

Re: Ogre with +STR?
If I was playing against you, I would definately try -2d blocks on your st6, sure hands ogre, but would probably hesitate a bit more against a st5, block, sure hands player... But st6 is cool.

Re: Ogre with +STR?
I took block on the ogre.
Nuffle gives it - Nuffle takes it.
Played against developed orcs and got destroyed - MNG Ogre, -1AV Ogre (the 12/12 guy is still ok, this is another guy), 2 dead snots, 1 MNG Snot.
I'm up against humans soon and have 2 (TWO!) Ogres to play with.
"The best part" of the game was where I said: "I'll do the things first that are bound to work" and after moving some guys (no dodges) I 3 die block an orc for triple skulls. (needless to say bonehead kicked in on 2/3rds of the "key" actions like blitzes, ball handling, etc.)
I had an induced Chainsaw who failed kickback twice (1 - Loner Reroll - 4 - 1 - stunned - get up after stunned for the blitz - 1) and took himself out.
Took 2 journeyman snots now (to let them die on the line) and hoping to survive the next game without any more ogre losses.

What did you expect after rolling a 12 twice?!Trollblanc wrote:I took block on the ogre.

Re: Trollblancs Ogre Questions
Got an Ogre with 5/5 (very lucky skillups - luck is missing in the games though), who already has Pile On.
Pro?
Tackle?
(Jump Up is tempting but on a 5+... don't know)
