Necromantic vs Norse inducement question
Greetings,
I'm playing a necro team and I'm facing off against a Norse roster. I have 230k of inducements. I was at first thinking of going with Setekh but I'm also thinking a wizard with a bloodweiser babe. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Cheers

Please post the two rosters. There is a big difference between 230k as TV1000 and TV 2000.

Cheesus... I can only imagine what the spamiliciousness looks like with 230 extra "K" against you....
You're gonna need a lot of help and, against armor 7, that wizard just might do better than save one TD against the fjord fromage.... The babe always is a good buy for undeads, the worst place for you is the KO dugout....
Can you get a third Werewolf (Chaney) with that swag?

Not this, even if the answer were yes.Digger Goreman wrote:Can you get a third Werewolf (Chaney) with that swag?

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Hey, Matt... long time since we've shared strategy.... The WWSP was just a thought... glad to see we agree on the other....mattgslater wrote:This.Digger Goreman wrote:Cheesus... I can only imagine what the spamiliciousness looks like with 230 extra "K" against you....![]()

Re: Necromantic vs Norse inducement question
These teams are from a 3 man 20 team league that has been in play for 5 or 6 years. When the norse roster was overhauled we grandfathered in his catcher and extra berserkers. I managed to kill one of his berserkers in another game so I'd like nothing more than to kill the other to bring his roster up to date with the current rule set. I still have an old school Werewolf in play that I'm sure he'll target.swilhelm73 wrote:Please post the two rosters.

Re: Necromantic vs Norse inducement question
Ok, I have to ask, why not on Will Chaney?
I find that having a second Were, who is S4, on the field to be almost broken (for the MV8 and the Strength). The Claws also work against the opposition's strong pieces (Beserkers, Ulfs, Troll), where the S4 shines even more.
I agree that his Wrestle is sometimes a liability, but at the same time it is a great counter to the Block Spam that the Norse have, and their AV7 just invites fouling.

When I first asked, I couldn't pull the cost from memory... but, @ 230k, he's 10k short....Piousman wrote:Ok, I have to ask, why not on Will Chaney?

Two reasons.Piousman wrote:Ok, I have to ask, why not on Will Chaney?

That, obviously, is Reason Number One.Digger Goreman wrote:When I first asked, I couldn't pull the cost from memory... but, @ 230k, he's 10k short....
Reason Number Two: Chaney doesn't give you anything you ain't got, and what he does give you is tricky to use. That ST4 blitzer type is great on a ST3 team, but you've got a fair dose of ST. So he's a "highly mobile" AG3 non-Dodge Loner, a Frenzy Loner at that, without the ST to guarantee 2d follow-ups. Wrestle would be tempting... but it's just so risky! I'd only take him if I could also take a Wizard.
By contrast, a Wizard is usually a drive-breaker against those juicy AV7 Norse! And Babes are good against hard-hitting teams, especially because your benchwarmers stink (literally and figuratively)! Heck, they don't even warm the bench; in fact, nobody wants to sit there after they get up!
