Badham Bruise Brawlers

Post by stashman »

I'm up for a new challenge :D

Next season I will start a Norse team, made up entirely of Lineman, nothing else, and will only have linemans. On doubles I will go for Guard, Mighty Blow and the odd Accurate, Pass and maybe a Diving Catch player. For normal skills it will be a Fend in mass!!!, Pass Block and Tackle. The odd Kicker, some dirty players and sure hands on a passing player.

So my rookie start will have either (and here you help me out what to go with):

a. 13 players, 4 rerolls, 9 fan factor

b. 14 players, 4 rerolls, apothecary

c. 14 players, 5 rerolls

d. 14 players, 4 rerolls, 3 ass.coach, 3 cheerleaders

e. 15 players, 4 rerolls

LRB6? None of the above.

12 players
4 Re-Rolls
160k Treasury; induce Wizard against opponent worth 990k+, or Helmut or 2x Babe against opponent worth 980k-.

If you want to guarantee a Wizard, drop a player. Then, against 1M you can have Helmut + Bribe, or Wizard + Babe, and against lesser TV, you get a Wizard.

Later, you have the cash to spring for whatever.

I cheated and tried out this team on FUMBBL with little succes.

AV7 and only linemens are not that good when teams get mighty blow and guard. Norse linemen only get bashed and beaten, but in some games I just tried to stall long to see if it works (losing players).

So I have to rethink the All Lineman Norse Team.

Starts to think about Nurgle instead :D ... without the goats for starters

Have you thought about starting MOSTLY Linemen instead?

10 Linemen
1 Ulf
4 TRR
150k Treasury

Start a Wizard or 2x Babe or Helmut, then quickly hire an Apoth and two positionals, all at once.

I expect that an all-Rotter team would be rather frustrating due to Decay and no Apoth, although it might be fun up to a point. On the other hand, you might want to consider an all-Marauder team (Human linemen with GSPM access...). The increased RR cost is a very slight handicap, given that you can take Leader on your first normal skill-up. Available inducements would be very varied, given that you could add the 3 Big Guys and 3 Renegades to the list (with or without a skill).

Already kicking azz with a Chaos Pact team - Bad Kompany.

Are doing great in the season, 5 wins, 8-1 TDs and 13-10 cas diffrence. Ready for the semi-finals. Played Norse, Chaos, Chaos Pact, Necromantic and Halfling. TV 188 (15 players, will probably sack a ST2 Block, Claw player, but it depends on the first opponent in semi. If we have even TV I'll keep him).

Nurgle team is about Warriors and Rooters and 4 rerolls. Will get the goats when cash is flowing in.

AV7 sucks so big when you have AG3 players without dodge. Not even with dodge when you play vs. tackling teams. If you go Norse, I think you really are in need for positionals and ulfwerners with a troll.

I think 'Zons would be a much better bet than Norse for an all-Lino team. With everyone having Blodge or Wrodge after 1 skill-up, the AV7 would present much less of a problem. Plus you can afford to dodge away.
