Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
A forum for football mini's talk.......painting, converting etc. etc. or showing off great accessories that make playing the game easier, cooler or more fun.

He mailed back “…Willy loves them for another alternative team, but in the future and he is not totally sure...If you dare to cast and sell the figures, the price of each model is €200 or you can wait for a company to buy them or want the full team.”
2OO euros is a bit out of my price range, but maybe we could persuade kind Willy to get them made…?
if I was still with Impact I would probably be all over this like a cheap suit.. highly unlikely the minis wouls sell enough to cover the cost of buying/casting etc, but still marvellous minis to just sit there un-cast..

I thought the target for Scotlings had already been reached.
Out of interest what is the rough ball park of how much would it cost to produce that model? It’s the first non-GW halfing I’ve seen that I’ve really liked. There are quite a few cool goblin teams but the flings have seemed a bit thin on the ground.

We have a Targeted Impact! master mould coming up that we'd be happy to include the 2 figures in. Our Targeted Program pays 10% of the MSRP for each casting we pour up to $15 USD per a mm of the sculpt (currently 10,79 Euros per mm). That should be more than the 200 Euros he is asking for each one but it would be spread out based on sales of the figure.

Txapo, are you telling me willy miniatures will be selling a 45mm thrud? Giraffe-tastic! That's a must have for a thrud head like myself, let's hope its out by the world cup *fingers crossef*.
From BB FORO willy's yesterday words freely translated:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shortly a batallion of new casts...
Chainshaw skelly
Griff (better than any of the GW)
Thurdd (his own set of dice included)
Driad-treewoman (with nice back anathomy)
A tournament miniature (when the organizers present it).
And maybe some other funny miniature... nothing that getting all the money from sales at MAsterbowl (Valencia) and invest it in new casting straight away!!
Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Carl Critchlow (creator of Thrud and owner of his IP) has been a good friend of the BB community. Heresy pays to use Thrud's likeness and Carl gives his permission for the Thrudbowl to us Thrud to raise money for Charity. He's not someone I'd like to see screwed over for IP.
So can someone close here find out if Carl is being paid for this sculpt or if his permission was given. And before anyone questions about Willy's Zug, Eldril or Griff, I will admit I'm playing both sides here. But whereas GW has walked away from us and in many ways put the screws to us at many different opportunties, Carl has definitely not done so. So I do see a difference here and would like to know that Carl is okay with this figure before I'd buy it. I'd also suggest for Willy's own protection that since Heresy does have Carl's permission to create Thrud figures that if permission was not given for this figure that he could end up being under pressure from both Heresy (to protect his interest in creating these figures) and from Carl (who owns the IP) to not cast and sell this figure.
Hopefully someone can find out the story about Carl's interaction with this figure.
I emailed Carl the link and brief explanation including the popularity of the figure.
Love the guys work and I think we can all agree that it would be better if any issues occour that they be setteled before the mini enters production.
Sorry if this is a tad intrusive but someone had to do it.
