AGEING RESULTS & Niggling Injury
Hi All,
If the player had an "Gain Niggling Injury" on a Ageing Result.
Does he miss the next match as well?
Thanks,
Deneb

Hi all,
sorry to come back on it:
but to be sure with you.
from the LRB 2.0
pg 39 :
Niggling Injury:
Miss next game as above. In addition, write an ‘N’ in the Injuries box on the team roster. Before each match you must roll one dice per Niggling Injury the player has suffered. On a roll of 1 the player must miss the match.
pg 41:
AGEING RESULTS TABLE
2-8 Gain Niggling Injury.
So you still confirm that ge doesn't miss next match?
Thanks
Deneb

But his point is good, that the only place where the term "niggling injury" is defined is in the serious injury table, and the definition includes missing the next match. If that's not the intent, then the rule needs to be changed and a new definition of niggling injury (without the miss next match part) needs to be written down somewhere.

A simple line in the Ageing description saying that failing an ageing roll does not automatically force the player to miss the next match would resolve the problem.
I agree that it is not the intent to force a missed match with ageing. I certainly rule that way in my league. Once again the cutting of corners when trying to save lines of rules has caused problems. By needing to refer to the SI table on pg 39 problems arise. If that's not the intent, then the rule needs to be changed and a new definition of niggling injury (without the miss next match part) needs to be written down somewhere.
