Models for a vampire team?

Post by captain spaulding »

A friend of mine is starting a vampire team, but he doesn't like the GW models. Something I can understand. So I've been looking for different models, but am having no luck finding good looking vampires. Does anyone know some nice models to use as vamps?

Thanks in advance!

I dislike the gaspez arts team, their sculpts have this weird quality to them, the muscle definition is really deep cut and the mini gets this weird effect where it looks like someone pumped them up with air a little.
Its a shame there arn't more vampire teams but in all honesty I doubt they sell very well.
Maybe you could try those new GW plastic manbats kits for superchunky were-bats or impact has a couple vampires.
Oh and there is a company that does nazi vampires and werewolfs that look great but I cant remember the name of them for the life of me. Gimme a minute...

Im a big fan of the warhammer VC character models. manfred conrad and vlad particularly. not cheap though. especially in craptastic finecast.

I have to agree with you, I quite like some of their concepts but the quality of the sculpts is not great.

If you look at the detailed areas such as faces and hands there is a distinct lack of sharpness to them, some of the proportions are a bit off as well.

I think it will be tough to find good alternative vampires for BB, there are some great vamp models out there but they don’t really look like sports stars. You could always look for a cool vampire and add some shoulder pads. I really like the plastic ghoul king vampire in the new plastic GW zombie dragon kit so bought him to convert to BB.

I've always wanted to do a team of Nightgoblins and Squig hoppers for Vamps, I think they would fit quite nicely.

You could also use the GW Ghouls and make a Stirogen (probably spelt wrong) team.

I like the Vampire:The Masquerade rpg and have been tempted to use these guys as Gangrel Vampires before http://zenitminiatures.com/shop/product ... cts_id=112. Maybe with GW Crypt Ghouls as Thralls.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.
