(Said this earlier, but maybe my phone didn't send it.)
Very nice work all round, but the Were rocks.
As a note of caution, in the unlikely event there are GW staffers looking round at the NAFC, I'd recommend taking a pic of the WIP in the green stage, as I doubt they'd believe it's the same figure (I wouldn't without seeing it here!).

I also LOVE the ghouls, and the werewolf too. Keep 'em coming!

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately I missed out on the glam rock myself Norse - it was shell suits to go with my bad hair
Still trying to work out what to do for the Flesh Golem. The wights are in planning, but not firmed up yet.

I guess I could direct them to TFF - there's wi-fi access...or perhaps it's on the list of blocked sitesDarkson wrote:As a note of caution, in the unlikely event there are GW staffers looking round at the NAFC, I'd recommend taking a pic of the WIP in the green stage, as I doubt they'd believe it's the same figure (I wouldn't without seeing it here!).

Re: The Necromantic Road to NAF (now with converted werewolf
well, I don't actually field Golems when I play Necro - for the same money I would rather have 3 zombies thanks - but I suspect there are some Frankenstein's monster type minis from the late 80s you could have some fun with, otherwise get hold of a couple of Olley's BB Ogres and have some fun cutting them up, replacing their heads with smaller football helmets, greenstuffing stitching on their skin etc etc. Wouldn't take much to GS some "gaps" onto the flesh then GS some stitches stretched over them..
shell suits and step hair-cuts huh?? You Chav!

Actually, not sure if you can - some people said they could, others said they couldn't. I know one year at the GT we used on of the PC in the canteen to access TFF (TBB as it was then) to give an update during the event, but another year we couldn't get access (though that may have been the site itself).axiom wrote:I guess I could direct them to TFF - there's wi-fi access...or perhaps it's on the list of blocked sites
I would just be on the "safe rather than sorry" side - after all, this is the same people that tried to remove a US Games Day Lizzie team because "we don't think it's GW" - luckily that year I was reffing, and got them to double check.

Caution noted - I'll print out some pics of the WIPsDarkson wrote:I would just be on the "safe rather than sorry" side - after all, this is the same people that tried to remove a US Games Day Lizzie team because "we don't think it's GW" - luckily that year I was reffing, and got them to double check.

Anway, a figure arrived this morning that I was intending to use as a coach a circa 1983 C18 series solid base Liche. He's in the perfect pose for a coach, with arms behind his back...
Is he just a touch too small though?

Answers on a postcard please!

Fine as a coach - if he had any type of phyique he'd be on the field.

I agree - the size is fine.
Yes, he's a little small but he's spent his life studying the dark arts of necromancy - not playing Blood Bowl.
And PS: Absolutely wonderful conversion on that werewolf! Listen to Chris and get it cast RIGHT AWAY! (I'll take 20!)

Re: The Necromantic Road to NAF (now with converted werewolf
Excellent - a couple of thumbs up works for me. Small in a coach works fine. Now I just have to hope that GW staffers are knowledgable in the company's back catalogue stretching back just under 3 decades

Only one or two issues here - lets leave aside the tricky IP and recasting of GW bits and get down to sheer mechanics - I don't think I could actually physically cast it - the pose is too 3D and far too many undercuts and problem areas. Nice to know it's appreciated thoughel Superbeasto wrote:Absolutely wonderful conversion on that werewolf! Listen to Chris and get it cast RIGHT AWAY! (I'll take 20!)

This really is amazing stuff. I love the old miniatures, and you breathe so much new life into them with the conversions. That werewolf is just fantastic. I really wish I had the skills to do something like that.
I think the coach is great, and perfect in size. I am really looking forward to seeing these guys painted up

Great stuff!
Look forward to seeing them there all painted up.
I wouldn't worry too much about the paranoia, NAF are running it not GW Events. As I understand it, the worst they can do is point it out to the organisers who, I'm sure, would soon put them right.
