sorry, I agree to disagree
I am in the specific rule over rides general rule camp
pg8 give an VERY exact example of when a general rule overrides a specific rule.
ergo in other cases the specific rule overrides it.

Re: Fumbled pick up and re-rolls
Well here is the difference in an interpretation of the rules.
In Turnovers (pg13) it states that the turnover will not occur until the ball comes to rest
in Picking up the ball it clearly states
on a fail roll the player drops the ball (in which if he drops it the turn ends immediately), which will bounce one square.
so because he fails his roll and drops the ball. the turn is over
then resolve the scatter
It does not say it is a turn over when the ball comes to rest as in a pass
All I am saying is due to the turn ending because of the dropped ball you cannot use a team RR on the scatter

Re: Fumbled pick up and re-rolls
I am usually in the camp of "Galak pretty much wrote the rules, so if he says so then that's the way of it" but in this case I think daloonieshaman has the right of it. A TRR should not be an option on a bouncing ball after a failed pick-up. The turnover happens when the ball hits the pitch and/or the pick-up fails, so any subsequent catch rolls are made post turnover.daloonieshaman wrote:Well here is the difference in an interpretation of the rules.
