Slann - league team development help needed
Hi,
apologies in advance if this has been asked before but I had a look and couldn't find this question being asked....
I'm 3 games into my first ever season with Slann. My first 2 linefrogs have just skilled up and one of them rolled double 6. I originally planned on taking kick on the first LF to skill up and then wrestle on the rest but as this double has rather inconveniently thrown a spanner in the works, I now have a dilemma.
I'm leaning towards guard for this frog as I suspect it will be more useful, although a st 4 piece (as I have no krox) is tempting.
My current build is 4 catchers (0 skills), 6 linefrogs (1 has kick), 1 blitzer (wrestle), 4 RR's and an apoth.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks,
Dfunk.

Take +1 Strength.
St 4 is ever useful.

+1 ST without question. Your Linefrogs end up being your "blitzers" on a Slann team... this one is destined for greatness.

Why is this allways the most asked development question? If its not a snotling or a big guy you take the strength boost.
Makes your lineman a great cage cracker as well, it may be a different development path than intended but its a much more awesome one, give him wrestle later and watch the magic happen as no cage is safe!
Remember(and I know people will argue this wild and crazy statment), one point of strength is the tactical equivalent of one opposing player, its rarely a bad thing.

Here is a link to the thread about my Slann team
Take the +Str. It is enormously valuable on a Slann team because that player's ability to make holes in the defense will greatly reduce your reliance on making leap rolls.
I have a +Str LF and a +AG LF. THey act as my blitzers for the most part, the +Str guy on offense and the +AG guy on defense (because he leaps over screens and into cages on a 2+).
I use the blitzers as screening players and to mark ball carriers.

Come on guys, go with the fluff and take the +ST.
How would you feel if you trained the hell in the gym to become +ST and get dodge from your coach.
TAKE THE +ST!!!!!!!!

On all elf teams I'd take Guard in a heartbeat instead of the +1STR.
With Leap, though, I'd take the +1STR.

Re: Slann - Double 6 on a line frog - - what to do?
a few more games have gone by and in the last game my ST boosted LF rolled another boost so he now has 4AG!
My dilemma now is that my AG boosted catcher has rolled double 2 as his second skill so should i take a preservation skill or something more interesting?
I've read a lot about guard on 4AG leapers but i don't like the idea of leaving a ST2 player standing next to the opposition waiting to get killed.
I'm leaning towards sure hands but as my slann experience is limited to 6 games (and as i'm always reluctant to pass up a doubles skill) I may be missing something more useful. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dfunk.
