WIP -Ulthuan's wings

Post by Dain »

Hi guys,
Just for the pleasure to share the current work and a way for me to track the evolution along the way.
So, Highelves with a colour scheme which tends to be Gold NMM. Nearly first attempt, obviously still have to work on it.
Some people here will recognize some old figure here. They'll be revamp a little bit of course

Once the whole team will be finished, I'll try to make the positions as similar as possible to each other, in terms of blends and lightnings/ shade. Quite a hard task for me.

Logo will be either:

or

Hope you'll like them
Cheers

Looks amazing - as always.

If you can be bothered, a step-by-step guide/description would be interesting to follow. :)

There are 2 throwers (1 regular and 1 with the cape) and 1 lion warrior (so catcher, but throwing the ball, I agree) in the team. Apart the regular one, the rest are conversions, from whfb range ;)

All right, there is a thrower on the left (ball unpainted, white). Regular figure from GW.
There is one thrower at the front, right side, conversion from Phoenix warrior war hammer fantasy battle. Used to have a spear in his hand and a long cape. Cut the cape, replace the shaft of the spear by a ball.
There is a lion warrior just behind him, throwing the ball in a dynamic way. He isn't supposed to be a thrower, but it's up to the player. He is a conversion from the champion lion warrior. Used to
Have a sword, cut the sword + hand and put a new hand with ball.

I'm writing from a smartphone so I can't edit the photo to make it clearer, sorry.
For now at least. Tell me if it's still not clear enough.

This thrower is a conversion from the phoenix banner bearer, from the previous release. The current version of the Phoenix warriors won't do the trick I'm afraid.
I may still have the other two mates though. I'll check that out when I return home ;)
They aren't the same but may be ok. You'll tell ;)

Im not to keen on that generation of elf minis, but the colour scheme and the paint job is just superb. I really like it when somebody comes up with an unusual but striking combination like this. Well done!
