Good point Heff  I'm also sure he can't get a lot of speed built up in the dune cruisers either, so he's probably easier to catch.

Have some fun with your feelings towards the manufacturer. Make the team from somewhere in Tilea and give them a nickname connected with the scandal. If you like alliteration

some VERY cool ideas there, thanks!

in the meantime, here's a WIP shot of the Drow. I'm beginning to think the orange pads may need a white and/or turquoise stripe down them to break them up slightly..

otherwise I'm pretty darned happy.. first mini I painted from start to finish in a worryingly long time.. :blue:

so, here we have Spyte the Dark Elf, Jaeger the blind Norseman and follower of Khorne, and Fabio the False, Fabio the Forktongued, Fabio the Flambuoyant... (just one mini :D )

the marauder's left hand was originally meant to be for the Dark Elf, but between the tentacles or claws option which the DE comes with, I must admit I never saw myself taking either as a skill option, hence his new left arm courtesy of an empire footsoldier and shoulder pad courtesy of an Ogre's gauntlet.. I sometimes wonder if mini manufacturers actually play the game they are making minis for..

I like all my minis to look different if possible, so the marauder's head is from the flagellant sprue.. that's a great sprue to have lying around for future reference, some lovely bits and bobs on there.. 3 of my marauders have flagellant heads just to keep the variety going..

Great colours all around and the white stripes really gives an extra touch. I would prefer a bit more highlights on the drow skin, but I really like the idea of it. The tattoos and claw is just plain great!

I have the same team lying around somewhere and I think they are excellent miniatures.

I suspect that arm is supposed to be "Big Hand" more than Claw, although I guess it works either way.

Looks good Norse... if I had a quibble it'd be that I'm not entirely sold on the head you've used for that Maurauder, it seems a touch too small for his body.

oh well, I guess there's two more pin-headed barbarians coming up then.. :-?

out of interest, even if it is big hand, would you give it to an elf? I've never coached Pact obviously, but I really couldn't see myself giving him many mutations other than two heads and/or horns at a push.. the combo makes for a gifted cage breaker..

given that I only play in tourneys these days, I really just want him for his AG4 threat..

Well I guess if I wanted anyone to get into a scrum, grab the ball and get out again it'd probably be the Ag 4 player :)

Looking at it again, I think it's just because I knew it was a head swap, seems fine now. Definitely NOT interested in discussions on barbarians of the pin-headed variety

no worries bfg, I don't ask or expect anyone else to feel the same way, though I will admit this process has been strangely cathartic. Maybe I should paint minis of everyone I hate..

I finished one more marauder yesterday, my first attempt at painting south east asian skin tones.. I have started the goblin as well, though it may be a while before I get him done as my wife expects me to re-paint and re-tile the kitchen over the next few weeks, so free time = zero... :blue:
