Dead serious. All Blitzers should get POMB asap. Black Orcs should get it after Block Guard.

He's probably right. Its deadly dull but probably the most effective skill development path.

And once you've got Block POMB, frenzy is an obvious choice to maximise the number of knockdowns. As to Frenzy on MA3 - this is to get a 2nd block when Blocking, not to threaten sideline surfs, so the low MA doesn't really matter.

This isn't entirely relevant, but on Saurii, I'm starting to prefer block/mb/frenzy/po, instead of mb/po/frenzy..the extra knockdowns really make a difference for me. Admittedly, the utility of ST 4 frenzy is a lot more than ST 3 frenzy..

Frenzy, on average gives you about 1/3 (chance of a push) x 5/9 (chance of a knockdown) more knockdowns, so about 5/27 more KOs & Cas. Even if you only Pile on when getting a Stun, it gets you about 50% more KOs and Cas.

Pro is marginally better since its a 50% chance of getting the pro, then a 5/9 chance of a knockdown, plus you can use it on pow/skull.

Frenzy however increases you chances of surfing players, and also popping holes in opposition defences, which Pro doesn't do.

I agree, I love Frenzy on a Saurus. Would be a late pick on an orc team for me though, Block MBPO Tackle Guard first for me.

Just a tip, on future doubles for your blitzers/BOBs Jump-Up is a good skill instead of dodge (espescially combined with piling on).

I don't really like the PO/JU combo.

Sure, it keeps your players alive far longer (go pixelhuggery!), but you lose your TZ every time you PO. I find that the JU/PO crowd tend to PO every armour roll, and that has serious side effects on your position. In addition, there's a 2+ roll every time you want to stand up to block!

I much prefer dodge usually, for the positional benefits it brings.

I like C-Pomb JU cos C-pombers want to PO on av a lot more than pombers in general.
Not sure whether I would want JU on Orcs but I think I probably would want one or two, a lot of pomb does hurt!

A lad in our league tried M-Blow/J-Up/P-On on an Orc Blitzer last year, and used it a lot. It was impressive at times, but overall I felt it left one too many Orcs prone.
