If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

I was scrolling through the unpainted pics thinking the conversions were pretty nice and would make a great basis for the team, then I saw the amazing paint job. They're going to be a truly spectacular looking team with that finish - great work!

Thanks everyone for all your comments, it's really motivating for me when other peoplegive me feedback on my work.

@Heff I'm doing alittle more than just slapping it on. each model so far takes about a good days work. Going to make a decent dent in number 3 tomorrow hopefully.

Progress report. 2nd black Orc finished this morning just before work, managed to find 20 mins between breakfast and leaving to finish the base. Probably won't get pics today due to work but I'm on night shift tomorrow so have the whole day to snap some pics and get started on number 3.

This one felt much quicker to finish, I didnt time it do can't say for certain but I'm getting the gang of how to manipulate this palette to get the results I want just that little but easier.

With that teamname I think they deserve some dark red to go with that sweet camo-yellow :)

Good work on the team!

You paint a fig that good looking in a day? I could spend a whole year on a fig and not have them come out looking that good.

Great conversions and a very nice paint job. You've actually shown me the proper way to use shadows.

Thanks everybody for the comments, its very encouraging to know that ive definitely found a colour scheme that works. I had faffed for ages trying to think what colours to use and was initially attracted to red but it seemed everywhere i looked was red orc teams, so I fell back to an old favorite of mine which is painting yellow... dont ask why, maybe i just enjoy making my life harder than it has to be.

Anyways some more pics of the second guy finished.

Very nice and angry orc, indeed! But why not give the linencloth on his back a deep redish/ brown tone to go with the yellow? Would really fit the model, theme and Washington inspired name IMO.
