A Productive Easter Weekend... (Pic heavy)

Post by Don__Vito »

...so, I had three days off work, and an unpainted Halfling team. Cookie to who guesses what happened next!?!

This MASSIVE Halfling team (30 models and counting) was all assembled and undercoated on Friday, but that was it. I've cut some corners and maybe not done them as well as I'd have liked, but I'm pleased to say the entire team has been painted and based over a weekend! Think there's a nice mix of models in here, at least six (seven?) manufacturers, and a couple of sneaky little conversions.

Based loosly on the Miami Dolphins colourscheme, I present to you the "Miami Dough Fiends!" (Works better when you say it out loud!)

Hope you enjoy them, cheers!

(Please excuse some of the dodgy photos, I was relying on the weather to hold and of course it started chucking it down and became really overcast!)

Great looking team. If only I was so productive in such a concentrated burst. I love the sideline figus and re-rolls in particular - are they conversions?

If your neck felt as bad as mine you'd not want to be so productive! ;)

The rerolls (and turn, score, apothecary and chef) miniatures are all from Battleforge Miniatures. They are all out the box, only the chef I have added his fire and cooking pot myself. They have a website that is hopelessly out of date, but do have all their stuff on e-Bay. The sculpts are basic, but very characterful, and only slightly larger than they should be, which in my opinion is fine for sideline models.

How the hell you you people paint so fast? :o I think I spend about 10 hours per mini to get a decent paintjob. Oh well, such is life.

Team is very nice, btw. :D

Stunning effort, particularly over such a short space of time.

Try that place for your neck - it could help.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.
