How to paint my Pro Elves
Just got my 2nd Edition Pro Elf team through the post today and ive been drooling over the lovely sculpts and now i have to decide what colours to paint them and cant decide what. Want to do them in sensible colours and take my time on them so the painting will reflect the models. Any ideas?

Re: How to paint my Pro Elves
I'm a big fan of the old Codillion Clarions scheme of yellow with blue and white. Really striking and suits the Elves well

Re: How to paint my Pro Elves
My 'Pro' Elves are Blue and Yellow, my 'Wood' Elves are natural Browns and Greens. Both use at least some second edition GW Elves...

Re: How to paint my Pro Elves
their lovely Don, wish my painting was half as good as that. I noticed you have the kicker, thought about keeping the metal strip that says TWACK!!! that goes between his foot and the base for lulz
i like the colour scheme suggested was looking on that site this morning weirdly enough. Also thought about the red and white like the pro's on the gw website and the cyanide BBLE blue and white. Shall have to mull it over.

Do what I did and use different colours for each position. I did red and white for the blitzers, blue and yellow for the throwers, black and yellow for the catchers and black and white for the linos. I did use harlequins though.
I have seen a very nice blue and white team and there was the inspirational orange and brown one.

Re: How to paint my Pro Elves
I would paint their incredible mohawks to reflect the position without changing their uniform..
to be honest, I usually try to find a team name first before working on a colourscheme. If you have a name in mind which is based upon a RL sports team, all the easier.. I always liked elves to have some white on them, and I have always liked "quartered" uniforms - very eye catching - so I would go white with left leg and right arm another colour (red/blue/purple/green)
PS Don Vito - gorgeous pro elves!!

I'll add my thumbs up to those lovely pro elves (woodies are nice also, but the blue/yellow really pops)

I hate this idea. I think what makes a team look good is when everyone has the same uniforms.Heff wrote:Do what I did and use different colours for each position. You can almost paint them as bad as you want, and they will still look good

Re: How to paint my Pro Elves
i must admit i like my team to be uniform in terms of colour, for positions i just paint the bases. Also had another thought for team colours, claret and blue?
