Re: Norse hypocritically presents.. The Trantio Turncoats...
so, an update after a longish hiatus.. finished painting a few more members of the team...
Lihn of Cathay (my first attempt at painting an Asian skin tone, think it worked out pretty well myself...). It's another head swap with an Empire Flagellant, otherwise pretty standard...

Magnus, the Soothsayer (saw the GW mini and the staff meant I had to buy him.. just another headswap, this time with a Chaos Marauder Horseman..

ZigZag, two headed Goblin (this is a real cut and shut - I hated the Gaspez goblin, but didn't want any team members to be missing the lidless eye belt buckle, so I channeled Axiom here and got the razor saw out.. only his legs from the knee to the waist are original, along with his right arm.. the rest are made up of GW Goblin plastics, and AoW Dwarf plastics, plus some green stuff obviously.. something very satisfying about cutting up Gaspex minis I must admit..
)

Raoul
the first mini here which is basically unconverted, just a bunch of marauder parts stuck together.. I resisted the temptation to stick a ball in the crook of his tentacle arm, but I'll probably use him as a Thrower/Leader type in any case...

and finally a group shot to date.. pleased I have managed to NOT paint any of the BGs so far.. normally I paint them first and run out of interest, so this time I have left them to quite late in the queue...

Troll is due up next..

Really nice mate, all politics aside. aren't those Gaspez Marauders a joy to paint? Just lovely sculpts...and you threatened ages ago to borrow the 'eye buckle' thing...just a great job all round so far.

Awesome! Pact are such a great team in modelling terms, I'm so sorely tempted to start one having seen what you've done so far. I think the little extra work ensuring the goblin had the belt buckle has really paid off.
I'm currently trying to get some flagellant heads to work on some GW marauders, did you find them a little small? They work really well on yours, perhaps Gaspez' marauders are a little smaller. Keep it up, anyway!

@Woody - yeah, they are lovely minis.. always said they were.. especially the marauders themselves and the mino too.. the gobbo/skaven/troll and ogre are less good without some work IMHO, but I put in the work to make 'em better.. having a HUGE bitz box works.. and thanks for not calling foul on the eye buckles.. you put in a lot more work on yours I think, but it's a really important theme to the team for me..
@fitch-face - a little work on the Goblin? jeez - took longer to convert the little punk than to paint him!
never pinned so many tiny joints in my life!
flagellant heads are fine I think.. some of the necks need a little trimming because they widen at the top in expectation of meeting a helmet, but I really wanted a totally unique team rather than similar looking dudes. If that means half my team hunts by scent, so be it..

O dear I just took a look on Gaspez' site, I didn't realise just how much you'd converted it! Kudos!Norse wrote:@fitch-face - a little work on the Goblin? jeez - took longer to convert the little punk than to paint him!never pinned so many tiny joints in my life!

They look fantastic. Very nice conversions and a great colour scheme. I have the same set of minis lying around somewhere, and now I am very tempted to start painting them instead of the undead

Ah Trantio.... How corrupt that city is
my Chaos Dwarves are the Trantio Bulls, Tilea has some cool city names.
The minis look fantastic, the converted goblin looks great.
Looking forward to seeing the next few minis
