Re: Norse "Khornily" presents...
Norse, that's brilliant. You were spot on stopping at Blood Red (I prolly would have gone for top highlights towards pink rather than orange and cocked up somehow while doing so). It gives preserves a very "infernal" look. The grey highlights on the black complement the red effect very nicely. Did you consider doing a different highlight scheme on the black of the wings as compared to the armour? Although as it looks right now, it certainly 'ties the room together'.

Ramsey, I am as ever in awe of your skills mate!
if I had the money and reason to get a team painted and also could secure your time for as long as it took, I would totally get you to paint some for me.
but as I currently have none of that, you're off the hook

Re: Norse "Khornily" presents...
thx guys...
@ odium, I was pretty much set on my colour scheme from the moment I saw the mini.. highlighting black is always a b!tch and I really struggled with not going too light on the edges of he armour.. the leg plates are better than the arm plates I think...
I also notice in the pics that the underside of one wing isn't perfect and needs a little work.. looks fine in RL, but amazing how "ordinary" big old digital pics can make your work look..
now let's hope we get a decent, NAF endorsed roster so he can be more than just an ornament..

Nice work Norse!! Really liked the helmet and the selection of the demon prince.
JB Demon has also started a similar project in the spanish BB Forum:

It seems that we are all eager to see how the new Khorne roster looks like

Looks great, Rams. Now I will wait until I see a good roster before I start down this path...at least this is what I tell myself.

Re: Norse "Khornily" presents...
Thanks Mephisto - I don't often go to the Spanish BB forum, appreciate the link - I like what he is doing with the bloodletters, though given I think they are the linemen position, that is a LOT of conversion work ahead..
the reason I went with the Daemon Prince mini was simple - yes, it is big (even I know what muy grande means
) but it's plastic, so it is light and easily convertible. Secondly, I have never seen a Bloodthirster mini I liked, ever. They were always so effing ugly it was untrue.. so to really convert one I would have had to use a Minotaur body, a Balrog head and still find a way to get some wings on there as well.. converting up the plastic Daemon Prince mini just seemed a LOT easier, faster and probably more cost effective as well...
as stated, he's on a 40mm base, the same as most of my BG minis, so huge, but still possible to use him on the pitch.. provided no-one knocks him down of course..

You are welcome
I agree with you. Your conversion is simple but really effective. Like the painting job.
