Multiple block - Assists?

Post by Arkan »

When going for a multiple block with a mino, does one of my players count as assist, if he is standing in both attacked players tackle zone.

| b | a | |
-----------------
| | o | o |
-----------------
| | m| |

a, b my players, m is the mino, o are the players to be blocked.
b would be a clear assist, I guess, what about a? Reasoning in favour: both players are blocked and seen as "one" unit?

Minos are Wild Animals and never get assists!

In your example "b" gives an assist, but "a" doesn't - if the mino were eligable.

Wild Animal

Uh, thanks, that kind of escaped us. That kind of simplifies it for the mino. In general, I guess you answered it as well.

As for assists around an wild animal. So if I position players around it, so that it has to throw a block as first action, no assists apply either ?

Defensive assists still count, but offensive ones don't.

Code: Select all

DDD
_MD
___
D = defender (S3)
M = Mino (S5)

The mino has to make a 1/2 dice block against any of defenders.

Code: Select all

DDD
_Md
__A
A = attacker

The mino can make a 1 dice block against any of the "D"s or a 1/2 dice block against the "d".

Code: Select all

DDd_
_MdA
____
The mino can make a 2 dice block against either "D"s or a 1 dice block against either "d".

I hope that clears up any confusion.

It took me about five minutes, but yeah I think I got it now. Thanks for the examples, that did make it clearer, I still had only part of the truth after the first round.

Thanks, got to get going and feed the mino ...

There should be one distinction made here though. Even though a minotaur cannot receive assists, players on his team can still cancel assists against the minotaur.

P
DD
M

P - Player on Minotaur's team

P cancels out any assist either defender would have provided against the minotaur. He isn't adding strength to the minotaur, but is still canceling the defenders out.
