Defensive Specialist Blitzer next skill

Post by Mortalman »

Hi all,

just want some advice on the next skill for my defensive star who gained his 31st SPP from a perfect long bomb last night!

Wa "The Shark" Snaggleclaw
Orc Blitzer
6 3 3 9 Block, Tackle, Pro, (Skill?)

I thought strip ball, partly to complete the defensive image and because he often ends up on his own without assists so he really needs to make the block count! Any ideas?

strip ball could be nice, but how about mighty blow, to keep those bastardly catchers out of the game (low AV anyway!)

Strip ball works well if you are looking for a defensive player

Pass Block might not be a bad idea either, if he's often going catcher hunting.

My vote goes to strip ball. Just make sure that there is another player around with sure hands to pick it up off of the ground, or help smother it in tackle zones, or it will do you no good.

Bit of a skill overlap between tackle and strip ball, but not enough to make it useless. Passblock combines better but it will be used less.

I think I'm going to go with Strip Ball, though I considered sure hands, pass block and mighty blow. Most of my opponents are bashing teams and the ones that do throw don't favour long balls to catchers so much as quick shoots to sprinters. I feel that strip ball will just make him a b*tch to get past as he's dangerous on even a 2D they choose block!

In that case Strip Ball should serve you well.
