Black undercoat, some metallic drybrushing, a few spots of rust, damage and a top coat of Tamiya smoke would be sorted.

As for "uniform" - pick a team name first then pick a there around that. You know the soccer team Standard Liege? How about sub-standard liege? ;-)

I really like these little sculpts. Not the best execution I admit, but bags of character and fun!
I would like to do the whole metallic thing but I have an entire warhammer army thats painted metallic and while that is what Im most comfortable with, I wanted to try painting a color on the armor. I may just resort to it though since I like painting metallic scheme.

haha, yeah. I started working on the blue one today and since the wash was taking such a long time to dry I got distracted and instead spent my time painting my reroll counters. at least I got those painted.

I plan on posting some pics of my gnome contraptions maybe tomorrow.

Spiky ... those are some great paint jobs.

Can I get images of the figures of your team individually for the website. I think those help show off the figures a bit better than what we have now.

I'd be delighted! I hope to finish by December as the layering of the yellow on the Contraptions is killing me!

Yes, but they are still unassembled and unpainted. When I do paint them, the contraptions will have uniform colours, rather than a metallic look. I still have no idea what colour scheme they will be though.

Highlight the red with orange and shade with chestnut Brown before you strip him. Could make all the difference

I also prefer the blue. Do yourself a favor and check out some Cygnar Warjack paint schemes for Warmachine to give you some tips/inspiration.

Yes, looks a bit flat at the moment. The blue is good, I just think the red could be too. To be honest I might ave gone with a darker red but the scheme has potential
