good idea I might give it a try.

the blue works well, probably because it has a greyish tinge to it... nice work!

He sure does. maybe I will try and mess with the shading a bit to give him a more assuring look.

No! Keep the slightly freaked look! He looks like an excited first time driver.

The problem about scary face is the eyes, too big white zones, or too small black zone. Not the shading. But the freaked look is fine, it gives a nice touch.

Guy I have a question and this is probably the best place to ask it.

If we had an offer to convert the Contraptions to flexible plastic resin with the belief that by doing so we could cut the price of the Contraptions in half ... would that help them sell better? Is having pewter for these figures worth the price?

IE ... right now a Contraption 3 pack in the store is $53.25. If we could reduce that to $25 for the 3 pack but they would be cast in flexible plastic resin is that a move you would recommend.

Just like to hear the thoughts as we have folks with interest in Gnomes here.

I should note that we'd still have the individual contraptions available in pewter for around $20 each in the store. The material change would only apply to the 3 pack, the Gnome Elfball team and 6 Contraption/10 Gnome team (which would probably drop down from $140 to around $75 in price)

I like the idea, but not sure how many more you would sell. The gnome fans out there probably bit the bullet and got them already. Just not sure if it is the price that keeps sales low or lack of interest from the broader audience. However to have an "ogre team" for a reasonable price would be good for the community as a whole. Could this be a KS to guage interest before expending capitol?

But I also think the resin might be easier to use the magnets with (lighter material needs less support/magnetic attraction). I love my magnatized poseable contraptions but the arms ussually hang instead of pose well due to the heft of the arms.

I completely agree with Bouncegrim. Going to plastic would be good for the game, maybe not sales-wise. I wasn't overly excited about the gnomes when first released, but was inspired years later to use them as all three stunty teams. So although the pewter was "pricey", it was validated by the multiple uses. I might suggest (For purely selfish reasons  ) to commission some "weapon stars" to broaden their use (thinking "steampunk" bionics, power-armoered gnomes, or mini-robot "assistants"). I'm actually planning on converting Reaper Chronoscope Toolbots for my secret weapons. I don't mind converting, but others might. Sometimes just a "minor" addition to an older product plus the move to plastic contraptions could "re-imagine" the team and "might" boost sales for a new audience.

cheaper, lighter, easier to convert - I see no argument against unless the initial outlay is huge. In which case the KS suggestion ought to test the waters appropriately.

I would love to see a kickstarter where we could have stretch goals of extra arms or gnome special weapon sculpts.
