Finished Khorne Team

Post by Don__Vito »

I know the Khorne Daemon roster isn't everyones cup of tea, but I finished mine anyway. Quite enjoyed putting them together, very aware the scales aren't perfect but the models suit what I wanted the team to look like so I'm happy, and that's all that matters, right?

Not sure if anyone else has finished a team yet, would like to see what everyone else's take on the roster is.

Enjoy...

Solid team. You did a good job capturing the Khorne feel. Well done.

Those are fantastic models!

Which models did you use for the Heralds (I am just planning on using blood letter mini's with a few extra pads, etc)? And are the bloodthirster's hands are from the Impact! Ogre kits?

Heh, funny... I was checking out your thread on these figs over at Geordiebowl only yesterday. Good job! I'd be looking for the heralds to be slightly smaller and more like horned humans, personally (no regen) but I can't complain at the execution of your idea. Nice work - particularly like the brown/gold pads. What have you used for the bloodletter pads?

Thanks guys, just to answer a couple of questions:

Shteve0 - They are plastic Grave Guard shoulder pads with a very thin strip of greenstuff squared off as the straps running under their arms. I bought them off a bits seller on e-Bay, something like £3-4 for a set of 8 pairs of pads I think?

douglowe - The Heralds are both identical models from a company called 'Avatars of War'. They call them something like God of War Heralds I think? Just converted both slightly and added a trusty Crypt Ghoul right hand. Use these on everything! The Bloodthirster hands are from Heresy Deathball Ogres, which I assume Impact sells so you're half right! ;)

Thanks for the very positive comments guys, appreciate it!

Very nice, only off not for me is the punch dagger, both because I don't like them in BB but also because it looks a bit to much like a combat knife/sword stuck onto the fist. I slightly inwardly curved one or the same style with 2 cutting edges would have been better.

Very very nice. Good job.
Only players I don't like are the pit fighters.
IMO they don't look very Khorney or Pit-Fightery, just Mad Maxey.
Mordheim pit fighters are better.

The other guys are simply awesome.
