The flames look superb indeed!
Can you give us quick tutorial on how they were made? (Not that I would need it anytime soon, but I find it always nice to know more about how people do stuff...)

Those flames look great!
How much more badass did you wanted them to look?

This is a great team. I will have to borrow the idea as I dont really like any other slann team nearly as much as I like yours. The flames are really nice and a good idea for a thrower.
What about this for kroxigor? From: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/poo ... th-monster

Another +1 on these guys looking like they would fit really well as slann, being somewhat hunched and toad-like, and with sinewy legs that look good for leaping. I might just do this now too.

To make the flames was actually really simple even though it looks like I sculpted every little part I didn't. first i ran a wire hand to hand, shaped a ball where I wanted it on the wire, waited for it to cure then took a strip of green stuff pushed it over the wire and twisted it with my fingers to give it the swirl look. With a blade like tool I followed the swirl to give it more depth in places and pulled some of the green stuff away pinched and pulled it with my fingers to make the flames coming of it.Aino wrote:The flames look superb indeed!

Hope this makes some sense.
If your talking about the half naked girl hell yeah... No not really I'm more into the kinda funny looking, not so realistic models. If you meant another one I might not have caught it, maybe a more specific pic.Lard wrote:This is a great team. I assume he meant this one.
That game looks insanely expensive, though. Off the chart. $200 for 30-odd miniatures shipped? Crazy.

Oooo that one, the $150 6in tall 10inch wide wing span bird, though cool I'll pass.

Re: Pink Horrors as Elfs conversions
your conversion work is inspiring, I just hope the brush work matches..
I think these guys work perfectly as Slann, all jumpy and slithery looking.. I can imagine them laughing maniacly as they hop away (like Trigger-Happy in Skylanders for those with kids
)

Very cool but probably a little to cool for my team.Lard wrote:Oh, the link was the word This, I put it here instead: https://s3.amazonaws.com/ksr/assets/000 ... 1353823920

Actually I have a handicap called OCD/laziness and have people I know paint for me them so these will probably go to the same guy who painted my Khorne Deamon team, yes another picture, the BlitzersNorse wrote:your conversion work is inspiring, I just hope the brush work matches..I think these guys work perfectly as Slann, all jumpy and slithery looking..
