Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
A forum for football mini's talk.......painting, converting etc. etc. or showing off great accessories that make playing the game easier, cooler or more fun.
I'd imagine they're on the small side too, LotR models tend to be true 25mm scale, rather than the heroic 28-30mm standard GW scale, or even bigger with recent Fantasy Football manufacturers.
Yeah, the new Orc Hunters would be great as pitfighters with a headswap, but I fear they're a bit on the small side. I plan to drop in to a GW store soon to check them out.
Maybe look at those for your hobs?

I actually think those are really nice models, but mainly for their intended purpose. Size aside, I think the LOTR range is much more realistically sculpted than GW's warhammer and BB ranges, and they therefore don't really look like they belong together. It would be a bit like using classic Ral Partha D&D models next to GW's stuff.
Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
No no no no no, they're wonderful, and totally worth the price, just like everything GW produces ... you've just been brainwashed by those evil 'other companies' into thinking GW is inferior ... come back into the fold ... war is peace, ignorance is strength, freedom is slavery, finecast is quality ...
£75.00 gets you Escape from Goblin Town (not sure if you meant that or not) which gets you and I quote...
"Radagast the Brown is a resplendent centrepiece to this stunning collection of Citadel miniatures. In mismatched boots he is posed striding - almost gliding - merrily across fallen trunks, with his hedgehog companion Sebastian"
Oh, and some other stuff
Who wouldn't pay £75 for Sebastian the Hedgehog
