I have to admit, in total geekatude, that I am trying to do just that.... I'm stymied on Humerus Carpal and J. Earlice (though I should have enough alt ghouls/ghasts to cover)....

Hey Galak! Anybody working up a H. Carpal anytime soon?

Hey, i'm going to use this wonderful post to ask a couple of questions

- First, i'm building my necro team at the moment. Being a necromancer at heart, i didn't want some pre-made zombies, i had to zombify my own!!. So currently at my workbench (crypt?) there's a human zombie (GW, i admit it), a zombified high elf, hobgoblin, longbeard, gutter runner and halfling (little dead tummy). I've created an amazon zombie from the necro cheerleader, too; and probably i will get a nurgle pestigor for the zombified beastman (he even has a sewed gut). So zombies are linemen from other teams (and the gutter, i needed to have him, i hate rats so much :P ) All of them are GW so scale is ok.

- Fluff wise (yes, i know, i'm old and grumpy and love fluff) my wights will be two blitzers, zombies that still remember how to block after death. I have selected a norse blitzer (closed helmet) and need to find another one.

- Now the question: what should i use for flesh golem? Right now i've selected a Willy chainsaw orc. Being bigger, he would pass as a zombie black orc; and he even has a scratched helmet. And i already have him, so it's free; and i used the chainsaw for another thing :P . What do you think? Should he leave and look for another mini or should he stay? Not as tall as the usual 3rd. Ed. Frankie, but seems strong enough.

- And the other question. What stars should i have? Is J. Earlice good enough? Right now i have a bit bigger wolf for Chaney, who else should i have at hand?

I have read your very useful guide at plasmoid site, but you didn't cover stars; and being the master necromancer, i thought i could use your wisdom. Thanks for your time

I'd love to see this team picture! Oh, and welcome to the fold!!! If the Willy can be painted to match the rest of the team... and you are happy... then, of course he'll work! Now, what to put with him? Hmmmmm,... more Willy's?

Bring in the thrower (though I'm not happy with the stance) or maybe just go with two Ulfs since you already have a bit of Norse zombie connections already?

I don't know about size, but the Greebo Flesh Golem is extraordinary:

Honestly I've never used J. Earlice.... Depending on your venue, some Stars are worthless at any price... these are the ones that make TDs for you.... While they are, perhaps, useful in a Have2Win situation, they will rob your team of SPPs and maybe MVPs.... Let's look at the most useful non-integral incentives:

Stars

Hack-n-Slash --- Situationally useful if you can protect him.... I buy him semi-often.... Love the chainsaw.... Opportunity costs: An Igor, a reroll, or two babes (really like the babes)....

J Earlice --- A fast ghoul for 180k that is made to score... IF he lives.... Spp hog.... Opportunity costs: Wizard; Reroll and babe....

Setekh --- I've never played 220k down, but this guy is the way all Stars should be built... kick you in the teeth skills (though St 4 Break Tackle is marginal).... May fall to Opportunity costs as you can get a couple of rerolls, or a reroll and two babes for the same costs....

Wilhelm Chaney --- Yeah, it wouldn't be the first time I took him... I simply get giddy over having 3 Wolves on the field... yet, nothing makes him worth double the points of a regular puppy... especially since they took block off of him.... Still, he's a happy blitzer and St 4 so not without uses.... Opp costs are the same as Setekh....

Ramtut III --- Only used once since I was playing waaaaaaaay down (380k?!) and his wrestle actually won me the game.... Very mobile for a mummy/guardian (Ma 5) and St 6 Break Tackle is precious.... Still, Opp costs are cringe-worthy at two rerolls and a wizard... or the Halfling Hot Pot and a waitress... err, babe....

Count LvD --- Same Opp costs as Ramtut... but who willingly goes into a contest at 390k down and doesn't want the Hot Pot...? Gotta love Hypno-gaze without Blood Lust, though....

Ah, uh, thanks.... Can't remember doing a guide for Plas-, but if it's on there I'm sure I told him he could use it.... :orc: Feel free to experiment and increase the store of knowledge!

Kill 'em all and raise their dead!!!

Sometime in recent dismemory, someone queried about the size of Willy's Mummies.... Since I've acquired a pair (as opposed to growing them ;)), I took some phone-pics that give you a good idea on size (quality of pics are meh....)

I had to trim the stone base shorter to fit on the top of a 28mm base then used greenstuff to smooth it out like the Wight was on a bit of a hill. Once the base was painted and static grass was added, can't even really notice the elevation difference. It's a bit of work, but for me far worth it as I wasn't sold on any other Wights.

The beauty of this model is actually that his arms come seperate. You can scrap them for simple Skeleton arms, like GWs Skeleton Warriors from WH or whatever. I did this and it makes the mini much more suited for Blood Bowl than actual warfare while saving you the hassle of the weapon snip.

This falls under that category of to each there own for me. I like my Blood Bowl figs to look like they're going to war and have big bulky shoulder pads. To me this fig is perfect with just the weapon snip.

Not yet ... but I really thought we were going to make a J. Earlice model last month and then it got cancelled for another plan.
