alternative Wilhelm Chaney

Post by Norse »

just picked up this mini on Ebay to use as WC on my Norse team... I'm so in love with him I just had to share him, can't believe I've never seen the mini before... shame the company is now out of business, their minis were lovely... :(

That is a nice mini, blows the current GW Wilhelm out of the water methinks. Saw on Pedro Ramos' Gallery that he's sculpted a Werewolf star player that's also a nice model that could be used as Mr Chaney too.

Perhaps a friendly independent company could look at buying the master?

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I'm sorely tempted to reach out to them with a business proposition or two, but then I remember how difficult it is just to break even in the hobby "industry".

I miss the good parts of the mini business a lot. Working with artists and sculptors was awesome. The bad parts I don't miss at all! LOL

Yeah that guy is great, I remember considering him for an Ulf at one point and wishing they had done a second similar sculpt.

Shame to hear they went under, their stuff was lovely.

LOL, I bought two other minis by the same company to convert into Ulfs - bit of an experiment I think, especially as I'm not 100% sure on the scale, but with the right paint job they might be spot on..
