I will say you have managed to make the Berzerkers look great - did you bend the ankle of the one who is leaping in the air? When I saw the greens I thought his pose looked really awkward, as though he was leaping away from a scary spider under his bed, but it has painted up far more aggressively and forward facing than I thought it would.

Your comments on casting are also fair. I know from personal experience that great looking greens do not always result in great looking masters.. tiny compression in the mould can make a perfectly straight line suddenly crooked, and I do see slight evidence of that here.. it's a sad reality of the smaller mini producers that they may not always have the most robust greens or most understanding casters to work with..

I don't remember doing any bending of the berserker, but I may have. All I can say with any certainty is that the tab is still in place and holding him to the base. The channel between his raised foot and tab was cut away though, so it's perfectly likely I have done some bending, just don't remember doing much or intentionally.

Photo angles help these things though, a bad angle can make a pose look wrong and is very unforgiving.

Anyway, Greebo likes them. Spent the morning getting more pics to send their way ;)

Are they going to be using them on their website?

If so that's awesome. :D

They asked and I've sent a load of fresh pictures their way today, so I hope so.

There are a few minor conversions on my models though, so it's up to Greebo what to do with the pics they've recieved.

Either way, the fact that they asked is a testament to how good a job you did. Nice one!

Fully agree with Norse in his first post. 10/10 for the paint job, while I'm not a complete fan of the miniatures themselves. Proportions seem... off somehow (and I'm not talking heroic vs realistic, I mean good old 1/8).

To be honest, the proportions on these are better than on many mini's I've painted outside of Perry historicals, which are consistently the best proportioned mini's on the market.

I think that may be more the issue; we get used to strange proportions in mini's of this scale.

Personally, I love the mini's. I advance ordered them as soon as they showed on the Greebo site, and I'm very happy to have found suitable mini's by the same sculptor from other companies (Willy and Uscarl) to pad out the ranks without duplication.

Anyway, it is a matter of personal taste. For me these are bang on, and I'm glad of that because a Norse team is something I had to have; the number of viking armies and mini's I've painted down the years is very high, I always revert back to vikings sooner or later.

Glad you all like the paint, and flattered that Greebo want to use it on their site.

Those are really really well painted. You have major skill. I'm mostly a GW purist when it comes to model choices, but you can't argue with gorgeous paintwork.

I was a fan of these minis beforehand...but I am a huge fan after seeing your treatment!

I like the more realistic proportions and variety of heights present on this team. It seems odd that most team coaches in the Blood Bowl universe will only hire players that are exactly 6 feet tall!

In the "other" NFL it is common for wide receivers to be over 6 feet tall, linemen to be shorter and much more stout, and several shorter players.

I like how the team fits with the field. The bases are outstanding. I don't think I'm alone when I say I would love to see an "in progress" pic showing it before paint (if you are willing)!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the players and sideline crew!
