This is exactly what I did. I'll try and post up some pics, so you can see how I did them.Corvidius wrote:Paint the team in greyscale as if stepping straight from a black and white movie. Names based on old school vamps and actors.

Re: looking for colour scheme/theme suggestions for Vamp tea
hey, a post which doesn't include pictures of poofs or my little ponies.. thanks Shteve0..Shteve0 wrote:I've always thought white and purple would look good for vampires, with less purple on the thralls and more scruffy armour. It fits my idea that the preening vamps would take the purple for vanity sake (it's evocative of royalty and status; a kind of old money feel), with the purity of the white an (unintentional, from the vamp's view) irony to set it off.
Naming wise, a quick glance at the warhammer map gives me "Rubin Karak", "Dynamo Brovska" and "Sparta Praag". Any of those jump at you?
purple and white has appeal.. although I was planning on doing my DEs with dark red cloth and bone armour.. I guess if I did the vamps with white cloth and purple armour that would be suitably different.. I have a lovely shade of purple I've been dying to use on something other than nurgle intestines..

as for names, I like the eastern European feel.. I used to have a Norse team called Sparta Praag.. Dynamo something sounds cool.. just need to find the something.. the best I could come up with so far was the Porphyria Patriots or Succor for Punishment (ba-dum, chi! thanks folks, I'm here all week! Try the veal...)

Here's a handy wikipedia link to Soviet "Dynamo...." teams:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fo ... ball_clubs
Surely there's one in there which could be adapted?

as appealing as Dynamo Kislev is, it's a little obvious..
I think I'll go with Dynamo Turov and be done with it..

any suggestions other than either white with purple?

on another forum a guy suggested the Tampon Bay Succaneers, but I suspect my wife would NOT approve..![]()

I have only the fllowing ideas:
Pittsylvania Blood Stealers (Black & Yellow)
ExSan Guinago Chargers (Powder Blue and White with Dark Blue and Yellow highlights)
ExSan Guinsisco 49ers (Red & Gold)
Bat-timore Ravens

I'm not sure about some of those though and my brain is starting to hurt.

EDIT: Looks like I'm too late to the party. Seems you've already picked.

The lead vampire would have to be named 'J.J.', then.burgun824 wrote:Dynamo Mites

Norse,
I would call them the Nocturnal Anemic Frolickers or the NAF for short.
As a main colour use 'medical' green. This should cover any bloodspatter nicely.
As a secondary colour brown should work. Dried up blood is more brown than red so nice cover up here too.
And to top it all of you must use a silver lining and don't forget to cover your fangheads with crosses and festoon them with garlic.

I use guys with bow from empire box (GW) for thralls. They are pretty cool for me.Norse wrote: looking for suggestions on both cool/funny names and also uniform ideas - I'll be converting the thralls from flagellants and using Gaspez Vamps if that helps.. Re: looking for colour scheme/theme suggestions for Vamp tea
yeah, I looked at them too.. overall I liked them, but the hussar type hats with feathers in them wasn't really what I was looking for... plus they look quite well wrapped up, and I want my Thralls to look really AV7, hence I went with flagellants..

In this kit, you have a lot of head (20?). Not only with hussard hat ones -and clothes is not AV ^^. But, if you don't search Carpet style, it doesn't match (sorry for the english).
I don't like the "grunge" style of flaglellant. You bite such a guy?
