So it can take forever to get the items? I cant see anything about it on the campaign site.

Yes,the roller derby game was put out for funding when the dinosaurs roamed the earth, at least it feels that way Feb/march is the promise. The apes took about 10 months. Sedition wars we are looking again at march delivery. Be aware of this, this is not a way to get last minute presents which is why I think putting things out for funding at this time of year is a mistake.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Not sure if Kickstarter has a flexible funding like the one on IndieGoGo. The Kickstarter's I'be followed and/or pledged on have all been "all or nothing" - if it didn't make it's minimum, they didn't get funded, and no-one was charged.

KickStarter does not have a flexible funding option. To be honest... I am not a fan of flexible funding campaigns. I fund projects not as a pre-order system but as a way to help a company make something they cannot otherwise make. Flexible funding says ... we can afford to do this and are going to and want your pre-orders please. So they are just not something I can get behind personally.

That said ... this is nothing personal against Rykar's project here. They are cute sculpts. I'm talking in general only that if I'm funding a project it is because it is a fixed contribution campaign.

Valid point.
Never really gave that much attention to it, but now that you mention it it does make sense.
On the other hand it can however be a chance of 'pre-order' stuff you might want anyway, at a lower price.
Sometimes at least.

Not sure thats fair Galak. Take my campaign, it was flexible funding because I was going to get the initial three colours done no matter what. It would have been a stretch financially, but I could manage it. The point was that with help.from the community I wanted to.expand beyond what i could afford to fund privately.

It was my opinion Richard that your project was incorrectly set up from when I first saw it. I support it very much but I still think you set it up incorrectly.. Should have been fixed funding for the amount that making the dice was comfortable for you even if that is only $500. Flexible Funding is a pre-order system. Fixed Funding with Stretch goals is for creating a project that needs help. That is just my personal opinion.

Hes got some minis up for auction on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?viewit ... SS:GB:1172

Think this will be the only place to get them outside of contributing to the IndieGoGo campaign

I think the minis are set to be sent out in the next few days

Drop Rykar an email or message him via the IndieGoGo campaign and I'm sure he will update you as to the status

Footnote from anyone reading this and thinking about doing something with Crowdfunding:

As a general rule ... you should never ever be selling anything you've done via Indiegogo or KickStarter through Ebay, Amazon or an online store before you've shipped out the backer rewards for your project.

As a general rule ... it creates really nasty bad vibes with the folks that were willing to support you.
