Re: Preview - Beast Face Miniatures Footballing Beastmen
I'd like to - I've got the concept art pretty much sorted. If these first models sell well, then I should be able to get a mino into production too.fire olli wrote:Put me down for some.

Re: Preview - Beast Face Miniatures Footballing Beastmen
Damn, they look sweet!! First time I've seen anyone make good looking beastmen (for BB). If anything, I fear for the size. Not a fan of the size creep and I hate the size of the Greebo Volmarian team although I really like the minis. Heck, these look even sweeter, so I'll just have to buy them anyway!
Still; could you do a size comparison with a 2nd ed human player? (Know you have one!

Re: Preview - Beast Face Miniatures Footballing Beastmen
Size was something we discussed at length and I know it can be an issue for people; we wanted to go bigger than 2nd ed otherwise they'd look a bit small and weedy compared against 3rd ed models, some of which are huge. I don't actually have the actual sculpts in hand at the moment (I should receive them today or tomorrow), but here's a composite of images. The 2nd ed lineman was photographed next to the armature, so I've just overlain the 90% completed sculpt at the same size. I also did some technical wizardry of holding models up to my screen (lineman, Moranian and the Heresy Wight) so they're all at actual size:el Superbeasto wrote:Damn, they look sweet!! The beast is clearly taller than the human lineman, but then he's pretty much fully erect while the lineman is crouching a bit. He's broadly in scale with the more modern Moranian and Wight. I'll take an actual shot of all 4 of these figs when the sculpts arrive.
I hope that allays any fears, but who wants small undernourished beastmen anyway?

On the subject of scale, the greens arrived yesterday and I took these (awful) comparison shots, shown with the current GW minotaur, Heresy Wight, Prince Moranion and a 2nd ed lineman:

Hopefully the scale looks OK to you folks?

Just a quick update - greens went for master casting on Friday; I hope to have some masters to show you by the end of next week, and painted versions as soon as I can!

Re: Preview - Beast Face Miniatures Beastmen (scale shots p2
It's all going a bit slowly unfortunately. I can't production cast until the first 3 figures have been converted to give me my 6 variant figures. My sculptor has had a ramp up of work meaning there's been a 4-5 week delay in him starting the conversions. At current predicted timescales, I should have the converted figures by the end of Nov, which will then be a squeeze to have stock ready before Christmas!Fassbinder75 wrote:Hi axiom, how's the casting going with these guys?
It all sounds straightforward when I started the process

Any news on the progress, Axiom? (Except that they might be slightly bigger than my preferred liking,) I think these are the coolest looking beastmen to this date - and yes, I have seen the Willy ones!

Are you psychic or something?! Look what pics landed in my inbox at about 11.50pm last night:el Superbeasto wrote:Any news on the progress, Axiom? After some months of delays, the variant figures have been sculpted and should be with me by the end of the week. Mouldmaker Pete is lined up to master cast these three, then roll out production. I'd like to think they'll be on sale by early-mid March!

Look great the new greens! How many different beastmen models are you going to make altogether?

Re: Preview - Beast Face Miniatures Beastmen (scale shots p2
Just the 6 models initially, mainly as it gives people enough figures to add to 4 chaotic warriors and minotaur to make an 11-man team, and also because I don't have enough cash flow to have more sculpted!
If these sell well, I'll be looking to add to the this team, then perhaps seeing what other races we can do.

6 sounds just fine. They look great! Pretty much the only BB beastmen miniatures I actually like straight away!
